Scaling Models | Tips and Tricks

Making a model from scratch is a very difficult process, especially when it comes to scaling. But good scaling can improve your arts and crafts and bring them to the next level. So let's take a look into scale factors, measurements, and some math to get a understanding on how to scale your models.

One extra thing, some of you may say you can use scaling calculators or other technologies to speed up the scaling process, and yes you should but I think it's a good idea to teach the basics before the shortcut. If you only know the shortcut, you may get lost.

You can just print out the blueprint that's already scaled to an a4 sheet size. You can also trace it from a ipad or a computer screen like i do if you don't have a printer. Scaling can be done with the tank width. For example, the tank is 9ft wide you just divide it by the scale (lets say 1.32) 9:32 = 0.28 feet. That's it, no more measurments required

Litterly me just scales army men and got the right measurements, size, etc and always guessing and made 39 models over 3 months (well because theyre simplified then add details except forvthe wheels): im 4 parrarel aways ahead of you
