I never had a deckmate. Had to haul back, dump the bag, set back, sort and shuck, hopefully before the tow ended. Cap stayed in the wheelhouse in front of the heater.

I love dragging for scallops I love the cold the storms and the work I've been offshore a few times but we mainly work out of cobscook bay

I was a scallop fisherman back in the 80s we made great money but bust ass work im paying for now im in my late ,50 s my body Is busted up hurts every morning i get up

I fish for scallops in the 90s. I made as much money as a gynecologist and drank a enough beer to float a battleship. Enough said .

@@johnygonagetu7096 Oh man what a great question. My favorite of what we have the option of are fresh Gulf Oysters and big fat Blue Crabs. I hope you guys have those options too.

As a former scallop SCUBA diver I wish you could see what those heavy drag nets do to the bottom of the ocean.
