Hey, I'm a guy and I started to get dry skin quite noticeably on my scalp (top and back), my eyebrows and my facial hair a while ago. I sorted out the eyebrows and facial hair, however the scalp has been driving me through loops. I have been looking to learn about skin/hair treatment and care for the past few weeks now, and I don't think I've ever looked at something so complicated. I'd rather be a physisist to be fair -- at least there's a straight forward answer most of the time there. Everywhere you read, they are all trying to sell you a product, and all of their answers are based around selling you that specified product. This video has been the best thing I've seen so far; it's just to-the-point. It's a shame that the shedding on the shoulders etc. gives negative connotations of poor hygeine, when it has nothing to do with that. It's not noticeable too much unless, as you say, it's in front of a ray of light, or against a dark surface (like your shirt). I've been trying different things and it has been going well, things have been getting better. The more I learn, the better it gets. I really believe that anyone who knows a lot about hair/skin is an actual wizard now. Thanks for the video :).

I use Sheamoisture African black soap deep cleansing shampoo and it works so well. The only no poo shampoo that's able to clean my oily hair and scalp and not irritate the dry part I have. (The back part of my scalp gets oily and the front gets dry and itchy). It's really good at balancing and cleansing

Hey guys you can also use a comb for lies. It’s narrow and personally works better for me since I have long, wavy and heavy, heavy middle eastern/ south Asian hair. I scrape it off everywhere and then comb it down the length. Then apply a nice moisturising oil of my choice or a hair mask.

I have dry scalp at my hair line too; also hate washing my hair. I will brush out the flakes and apply moisturizer to scalp between shampooing. By the way, your nails and polish are BEAUTIFUL and so is that ring!!! Color me green with envy!!!

I wash my hair only once a week and brush it and distribute the oils by using a bamboo brush which is supposed to help with circulation and increased growth. Not brushing your hair after you do this is really good for it and I also scrub my scalp with my nails when I do wash it otherwise it never be clean. Maybe it’s due to genetics because my mom has super long healthy hair but my hair is past my butt and the thickness of my wrist. It’s actually gotten way healthier since I stopped washing so often. It’s been about 2 years since then and it’s so healthy. I’ve never cut but only trimmed it. And on the note of cradle cap, back in the 90’s my mom had several family members that had babies with cradle cap and they wouldn’t scrub the baby’s head but just gently wash it and nothing they did would get rid of it and so finally my mom just washed their head for them and she used her nails to scrub the scalp (obviously still gently because of the soft spot) and the cradle cap almost always went away afterwards.

😭the story of my life....especially during winter, central heating and dry air. Yeah...I have to buy a humidifier. I'm also washing my hair once a week, bur after the third day, I put it in a bun(from experience: not pulling hair cause I've experienced baby hair...🤬...and almost bolding parts). So, in those residing four days, it seems that my scalp is totally suffocating and that's causing more dry skin. Is there some DIY for removing, precisely exfoliating, that dry skin? After doing what you've done, aka scrubbing it with a brush.... Thank you!!!

You said that you only wash your hair once a week, I think that's probably the cause behind all of the dead skin build-up on your scalp. It's best to brush the scalp right after shampooing with a brush that won't damage hair, like the Wet Brush, and then rinse your scalp. It's also necessary to wash often to keep the scalp clean of bacteria, I use sulfate-free shampoo every other day.

People think this is gross? Lol!!! My scalp isn't very dry....but it does over produce a lotta skin.....so if I don't remove it it just clumps together and sits there. If I were to try this method of yours, not a whole lot would come off. Basically i just gently but firmly scratch my head with my nails aaallll over and then scrape out the gunk that builds up under my fingernails as I go. It's vomit inducing. But it feels soooo goooood.

We eat fish 5 days a week.No alcohol,eat every other vegetable,fruits,rice,lentils.Doesnt help with healthy hair🤪 All depends on genetics i guess and also by caring ur hair since young age and keeping it virgin is the best way.My hair was heavy back then,this year i realized its so light and thats when i started oiling and buying all kinds of oil and converting to sulfte free shampoo and condi.Even chopped my long hair which i regret but i couldn't stand my thin hair anymore.Am just 26 and i have grey hair

Hey stranger, Do the exfoliation process like in the video. Castor oil, coconut oil/almond oil & Vit E tab (squeezed) in a bowl, warm it up in the microwave (for 10-15 secs) and massage your scalp nicely. Shampoo and condition as usual and voila. It works for me all the time :) That's like the Indian way of doing it! I hope it helps.

Dandruff/ hair flakes is shampoo or conditioner residue a hair stylist told me. Excess oil on your skin is cause of spots as it blocks the pores preventing the sweat from escaping which will lead to irritation of the skin and hair follicle pocket narrowing which leads to hair thinning as the excess oil narrows the follicle pocket opening, dead skin is the cause of bald patches as it covers the hair follicle pockets preventing hair from growing it's like a picnick blanket on grass from a bedroom window it'll look like a bald patch on grass

For me it just makes it worse. Apparently the shampoos strip my scalp and makes it drier. If I can get through the first 2 days (scratching up all the flakes)my scalp is less dry and I'm good to the end of the week.
@Jordan-bf7wd4 жыл бұрын
Dandruff i think is caused by the body being unusually resistant to carbs. In return, the body "discharges" excess sugars out from your pores including the scalp. Just like alcohol and marijuana, or cocaine usage can show up in the hair and last for 90 days, same with sugar, but the sugar is in a more bioavailable form for our body to use, but when it escapes from our skin it is then bioavailable to other organisms who feed on the skin such as bacteria and fungi. A 40 day break from a lifestyle having anything more than 20g carbs to no longer feed the organisms prompting excess skin dead, along with apple cider vinegar treatment to restore the scalp's natural ph, the "Cause" should be removed but if the old diet resumes, it will have an "Effect" which will bring back the "Cause". This is just what i think though.
