No formal training of the stocks and the market. No financial family background. Joined the market in 84 . Started company in '86 and between 1991 and 1992 took the market from 1000 points to 4500 points. Come on! He was not a scammer! He used public money for public good. Thousands of people made profit. And he would've easily ran with Bank's money in his hand, but he didn't! Instead he cleared all their dues and took a firm stand for his investors. Could've easily stopped Sucheta Dalal from doing her reporting because she was just a journalist and he - the most advance tax payer of the country and the maket king but why he didn't do it? Because he was not a gangster nor a coward. He was a true bull. The real life bull. He on his own shook the market and market players from top to bottom. Today's 2 greatest investors and gurus of stock market once worked under him and almost went bankrupt. Such was his image and mind. He was a great man! Indeed the best mind the market has see or will ever see. HARSHAD SHANTILAL MEHTA was a legend!

Those who are appreciating this scam haven’t probably been around to see this in real life . I am sure you are a very young persons who have not seen this period . It was so scary - every day we used to read detailed reports of suicides conducted by people who lost all they had , housewives , young boys , middle aged guys who lost savings - some lost money set aside for daughter , some son’s engineering money - Series has missed this as it was based on a book based on circumstances and remains focused on characterisation

That's how india works.... If someone makes a well written and well acted movie or series about Malya or Nirav Modi people would start calling them hero as well... The scam series was so wonderful where they humanized the characters yet our dumb people are busy in making someone a hero or villain... People with little to no economic knowledge are saying if Mehta was alive he would have made our economy better than the US 🙂

@@Sachin_156 That's the point. It means she was behind Harshad not the scam.possibly she was used by Harshad's enemies-bear cartel. If she wanted to expose wrong doings of banks ( Citi, SC,Grindlays, SBI) and manipulaters, she would come out with atleast 2/3 names, not Harshad alone. She had information about others too.

When heard about the web series and saw episode 1 . I craved to meet Mr Mehta bt as I googled I found he die on 31 december 2001 due to heart ache. 😥😭 To know this I feel a sudden jerk in my mind. We lost a Warren buffet, Einstein and Bachchan of Share Market .😭😭😭
