It is nice to see Krakow again. Where the Hard Rock cafe is I remember a Soviet bookshop in the mid 1980's. For good value for money, there are one or two mar mleczny around the town and they tend to be a little cheaper. in the main square, there is an Irish theme bar and beer costs around 25 zloties for a liter glass. I tended to go to the Galeria Krakowska, go upstairs, and go to Carrefour where you can buy your own beer and wine at competitive prices. in the evening if it is cold and windy, treat yourself to a cheap cinema ticket, there is a really nice old-fashioned cinema on the corner of the market square called Pod Barami. For around four pounds you can watch a film be it a Polish film or a foreign film with subtitles. If you go to Auschwitz or the salt mine museum, it is well worth while trying to barter over the prices.

Thanks Michael! Yes 👍 but the Irish pub is Expensive now, 35 zloty (£7/ €9) for a Pint of Guiness maybe you can get a local beer for 25 zloty (£5) there. The Best Irish pub is on Jana st, it’s called Pod Papugami. Yes Carrefour is a Gr8 Supermarket 👍my point is that Inflation in Krakow is High.. I disagree with you on some points here. First the Ukrainian scammers at the Square are the ones with papers and a website. The only legitimate ones that I am aware of are those as part of the twice a day protest (12 to 14 and 20 to 21). They only have one box to collect from directly in front of them. Often scammers wearing Ukrainian flags will be walking around the protest attempting to intercept people from donating to the legitimate protesters. A suggestion for those going to the pole dancing clubs. You are safe with no problems as long as you decide before walking in how much you will spend and NEVER going to the backroom for the private dances. Get a beer or two and enjoy the beautiful girls dance and then leave. If you do more than that, that is when bad things may happen. Good advice in general though.

Thanks for your opinions Ken! As I said in the Tour some of the Ukranians asking for Money are Legit and some are Scammers, it’s hit and miss, I live here and people have told me that some of the charities they work for are corrupt and the money is doing to Ukranian businessmen and the sales Reps asking for money are earning decent Commission which is why they are so hard sell, they have approached me many times with powerful and upsetting stories but now there are hundreds of them here and it’s too much, people told me that they had enough of being harassed. I hope more than anything that Ukraine can defend their country and keep their homeland after this illegal invasion, what happened to their country is Evil I know for a Fact that the Strip Clubs are a Scam, I know the what happens and how they do it because I have lived here in Krakow for 10 Years now, I will make a Guided Tour soon @ Travel with Col to explain how they operate the Scam Ken. There shouldn't be any Ukrainian scammers, they should be in Poland to work not to sponge off tourists, if they don't want to contribute to the Polish economy, they should go home and help their country in some way. I made my feelings very clear towards one of them mooching around with his little clip board. Krakow is my favourite city and I hate to see Lunkheads on the fiddle, ignore them and you will be fine, thanks Col for your knowledge of this beautiful city. Hope people listen to your advice and have a smashing time 👍

@@travelwithcol4625 I go to Krakow a few times a year for business, how about a cheap hotel you can advise on? Came a few weeks ago with an abrupt change of plans and ended up in a hostel with a snoring guy next to me for a few nights.

Some good news coming out of Poland, Polish authorities will ensure young Ukrainian men living in Poland who are eligible for military service will be returned to the Ukraine, hopefully, some of those scammers will have to go back and serve their country as they should do 👍

👍 They should have gone to Krakow main market square today there were loads of guys approaching me over and over again asking for Money for Ukraine, I was approached a number of times, they use high pressure sales techniques too. I’m glad that Biden has just given a $61 💵 aid Deal to Ukraine to help them fight this terrorism anyway

Paul it's brilliant, clean, locals are friendly, great bars, restaurants, attractions, my favourite area is Kazimierz district a bit rough around the edges, but so laid back, I guarantee if you ignore the scammers, beggars you'll be fine, if you're still not sure, try Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk on the Baltic sea, lovely little beach resort nearby called Sopot, we are all different, I've been to Polska 16 times and loved every minute of it 👍
