BOUNDARIES AS A HOMEMAKER | creating healthy habits | homemaking
I hope this video will help some of you to think about boundaries as a homemaker and start a conversation. Each person and family dynamic is different but recognizing the limits is important. I started my homemaking boundaries when we decluttered our home. I hope you enjoy the video and will make you think about how to create your own boundaries as a homemaker! Have an amazing weekend to you!

Hi Naomi, let me introduce myself. My name is Susanna, I'm 62 in September, I'm a mother of two boys aged 39 and 33, I love them immensely and they are very good. At 55 I was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome and fibromyalgia and in addition to the pain I often have mood swings which make me very sad. Then I discovered you, and since then I've been waiting for your videos with enthusiasm, you give me immense energy and joy. I wanted you to know that in addition to everything you do, you bring joy. I really like where you live, I love winter and snow, which here in Italy in Verona you never see, and I'd like to live there. I hug you and thank you.❤😘

Good to meet you and message me if you want some battle strategies!! God bless you Noemi and you as well Susanna! 😊

Drága Noémi! Jól érzem, hogy fáradt vagy? Múltkor mondtad, hogy már nagyon várod a tavaszt, hogy vége legyen a sok esőnek. Ülj le pár percre és képzeld el, hogy süt rád a nap! Melegíti a bőrödet, egész a csontjaidig átmelegít.

I taught our three children how to do their own laundry when they were about 10, with help. It would certainly be good for you to teach your sons how to do the own laundry, clean their rooms, Etc. When they grow up soon and leave the nest those are good skills for them to have. Hopefully your husband supports that kind of thing? Kids can become kind of pampered with a mom working at home full-time, thinking you are their maid. My husband and I both work full-time so he does his laundry and I do mine, and we split the towels and linens. That also helps a lot

We have a Thursday night one hour cleaning session every week. Me, hubby & 2 boys each take a room and deep clean. We have a chart of what has to be done to each room, and then trade of what rooms every week. Plus every 3rd week in the spring/summer /fall we do yard work.. ( 8 rooms total, as we have 2 living rooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, laundry room, entryway, and loft.) This has been absolutely amazing and helped us keep up the house in general.

Pár hónapja követem a videókat. Nagyon hasznos ötleteket találtam bennük, amiket érdemes megvalósítani. Igyekszem visszanézni a régebbi videókat is.

Great video Noemi! You are so super productive. Even decorating your deviled eggs! When my son's were in Middle School I taught them how to do laundry, cook, wash & put away dishes, deep clean their bathroom and bedroom, and sew a button on. I told them as their mother I wanted to prepare them to become capable adults that could take care of themselves on their own and knew that most likely they'd marry someone who also worked, so home chores would be equal in their generation. It proved to be a good thing. Both turned out to be men who do not judge their wives, think of themselves first or believe taking care of the home and children are a woman's responsibility. They are very masculine (one's a firefighter), but assume half the responsibility without being asked. Proud mama here. 🥰

Noemi, I have been faithfully watching your videos for about 9 months and my life has changed! I have been simplifing for years but your videos have helped me so much. I agree that comparison is the thief of joy and somehow your videos don't create comparison at all -- they just inspire, are helpful, and are time with a friend! You are simply sweet Noemi and I love that you don't pretend for the camera-- you are so down to earth, so kind,so funny. Do your RL friends know how lucky they are?! Thank you for each video. You are a bright spot in a sometimes very dark world! ❤

I’m still working, but I enjoy inside housework. I don’t enjoy working outside so much and my husband has severe allergies so we hire someone to do that. Maybe you could figure out the tasks you enjoy the least and hire help. I know that is a luxury, but depending on your situation, you may be able to find a balance that doesn’t feel like such a burden and help someone who could use some extra money. Also, I have found that housekeeping is easier when I have less stuff, so I am continually purging and getting our house down to the things we actually use. No dust collectors allowed! 😄

I work outside my home but I study full time from home as well, and I often get distracted by my family and friends. It has been heartwarming watching your sons grow and change through the years in the same stages that mine are =) Your oldest is so tall!! Both of mine are so much bigger than I am now too, it is such a surreal feeling as a mom. Thank you for the video, I always need this reminder! I laughed so much with the issue with your teens and the pile of dirty dishes. We have the same problem here. Love the "I don't have time to cook" lol!!!

Why does it take women who do not work outside the home to say "no" No is the boundary that not only benefits you so you are not overwhelmed but also for your husband, son's and daughters to learn to be self efficient and to do for themselves. This is not the 1950's when a woman was pretty much expected to do everything for their family with little to show for it.

Thank you for speaking on this topic! I am curious about the size of tip you used for your deviled eggs. Also, is there any chance you might put some of your artwork onto a dish towel set for us to purchase?

Thank you for the reaffirming boundaries. I forget at times, that the lines get blurred. You are 100% right about expectations and managing those expectations. The reminder comes at a perfect time when I want to get everything done for Spring. I can only manage what I can manage. You're the best.

Since discovering your channel I have started to enjoy cleaning and tidying my home. In fact if Im lacking motivation I quickly come to KZfaq and watch one of your videos to get me going. Ive just finished cleaning out kitchen cupboards and rearranging things into storage boxes I recently bought from Ikea. There is something incredibly satisfying about creating order out of chaos. x

Dear Noemi! Your thoughts about boundaries and your solutions regarding your boys are really helpful and I definitely feel the same about boundaries….I felt really stressed over a couple of years in constantly comparing myself with others: outfit , hairstyle, job, homework, commuting etc…. And it really made me sick….I learned so much in the past and nowadays I am so glad that I could stop with this unhealthy habit….we are all humans, we have good and bad days and I hope, you can find a good healthy way for yourself 😍keep you good humor! That’s most important! Thx for this great video! Cheers from Iris from Germany 🌸🌹💐🙋‍♀️🤩

My grandson and I made deviled eggs for Easter and used my piping tool for the filling. We made taco eggs, barbecue bacon eggs, dilly eggs and pizza eggs! Hope you have spring soon Noemi. It has been too hot for me here in NC in the 80s🥵
