I love to declutter and try to do it fairly frequently. Everything that comes into the house needs a home and rather than overfill drawers and cupboards i try to operate a one in one out system. It makes one mindful when making purchases. Another good video.😊

I like how you ended this video with the words ...no longer occupy my attention. Excellent! A question I'll be asking myself with each item in question (should I keep this or not?), I'll reframe the question to "should my attention be occupied with this item moving forward?" since I'm now in a different place in my life than where I was when I first bought the item. How or if an item still serves us is important to know when decluttering. Thank you for another inspiring video! 👍

I love decluttering. When I declutter in my house it never looks like I decluttered haha. I used to have stoneware plates and bowls. I got rid of them and bought Corelle plates and have loved them for decades. So light and easy and goes with everything. Much lighter on my shelves, and my little kids had no problem bringing their plates to the sink.

Decluttering is now a priority for me in order to have more time to do what is best for my family in this very difficult season. Hi Noemi, don’t be too hasty to get rid of old bedding especially duvets, I keep them to put over sofas and chairs when painting as I’ve found buying dust sheets expensive, the same goes for tablecloths. I keep an old bin bag in the loft for when I paint rooms, and when I’ve had workmen in the house traipsing up the stairs on wet days, those sheets have been a lifesaver. Hope this helps xx.

I did also decluttering last weekend and I was finally gave up to my hoodie. I bought this hoodie almost 15 years ago from a second hand, the brand is SoulCal & CO, was in perfect condition at that moment, I gave up only because the color, was going fade. So looking at you how hard was to gave up to you're shorts was just nice and I can sympathize with you. Good things are hard to let go. Kisses from Romania Noemi!

Oh my lovely lady. I so love a good clear out. We have just moved in with our daughter for a year,whilst our new build is being built. I had lots to go into store then all other bits for staying here and so many journeys to the charity shop. I hope somebody will get pleasure from something I have given that for many years gave me happiness. It feels like a weight has lifted getting rid of stuff. Do you think we have too much stuff in our homes? I do xxxxxx😘😘

@brifren2

Decluttering is great, as long as it's not done just for the sake of decluttering, I mean forcing yourself to get rid of certain things even though you love them and could still use them. For instance, these shorts could be still worn when you paint a room or work in the garden. They may be old but there are millions of people paying money to buy very distressed/ripped jeans, lol! Your shorts look much nicer! :) With your sewing machine you could easily resize the king size duvet cover into queen size, or upcycle the tablecloth into aprons, pillow cases or use it for picnics etc etc. I had a similar tablecloth and I still regret having got rid of it! It was 100% quality cotton and timeless style. As others said, you could shorten the sleeves of your pretty tiered blouse or wear it on top of a soft, warm tshirt. Decluttering just because of the instant gratification may lead to regrets later. I'm so happy I got rid of many things, but also so regretful about other great things which I loved. I think in the back of my mind there was the idea that decluttering would allow me to buy new stuff! Stuff that I might need to get rid of too later if it turned out to be not as good quality/beautiful/useful as the ones I got rid of. Overconsumption, not good for the planet or economical!

A busy productive happy family 🤓❣️☺️ good day to you all hmmmm I am very glad that this video is long. Great idea for mixing different spices/dried leaves/etc. for a quick soup. (Yes great relaxation , a nice warm tea & hite noodle soup for us Mom,since kids are grown-up) Try to add meatballs in the soup . In a pan ,put 1tsp. Olive oil or sesame oil then saute garlic powder, onion powder, ginger powder. Add water once boil lower the heat put the meatballs when its cook add white noodles, if you like garnish some spring onion or slice of leaks AND ENJOY ☺️😋😋😋 JUST LIKE HERE every year or after 18 months I asked the kids to sort their things and time to donate those, other people will be glad to recieved used clothes, blanket, kitchen things , old books, kids bags etc. Game with the family at night is fun and treasured moments . Looks delicious the one you bake sliced of fruits, oats, honey , says my granddaughter and husband... another project for boys room their getting bigger 🤭🤓🧡we adore your family. Noemi, great tips and videos as always. You found my weakness. I can imagine several uses for empty containers or ways to recycle "anything" into something else. Cute, small boxes are like treasures for me but I don't really need them! All the best to you and your family.

I have a hard time for the boxes and organizers to let go too that's why I was keeping it for a while but once it's starts to go around in the house I had to let it go!😄💗

I always get the declutter itch come fall. I would rather spend time with friends, family, and going to events, than managing an abundance of stuff we don't use. Plus I want to enjoy the holiday decor & gifts that will come into our home.

I am trying to declutter.get everything in order. My daughter wants to take her dad's shirts and make a quilt to remember him.It is going to be so hard to give away his clothing and shoes and belts.but I know it must be done.

Yeyyy a decluttering video!! I love all your content but I've been missing the minimalism videos. I'm happy to see one again!👏 I'm not sure if this will help you decide about your "let's think about it" bag of clothes in your closet but what you can do is hold up each piece and ask yourself this: "If I was out shopping right now would I buy this item?" This works for everything, not just clothes. If those clothes are stretched out, or you are cold in them, chances are you won't like to wear them in the future any more than in the past. I like the crust free pie idea. Was the other dish a pear/apple crumble? With almond flour maybe? I feel ya with the boys growing so fast. I'm in the same boat. I'm the second shortest in my house. 2 more yrs and I'll be the shortest. I'm also broke from buying new clothes more often. When my boys were younger one size lasted a whole year. My 13 yr old grew a full size just since June.

Oh no! I was just feeling relieved that my kids are 11 and 9, and they've slowed down - when they were tiny, it was new clothes every season, but now they can even get a second winter out of a warm coat. Should I just see this as a temporary phase?!

@@caitrionamcgee114 Yes, possibly😄 Although winter coats, if roomy to begin with, lasted us 2 seasons as well.

Another AMAZING video Noami!!! I REALLY loved the decluttering part... your sincere heartfelt reasons for parting with items was so well explained...and the reasons were so wide ranged. I think it was one of the very best decluttering videos I've ever watched...and I have watched ALOT of them...you summed it all up into one episode, with thoughts, different items, different reasons, and ways to deal with the unsure items. I also laughed at the bug scene at the beginning. And love the pie recipe...some of the things you do, like a pie with no crust...I'm like..why didn't I think of that. Lol...also loved how you have a piece of loose wood for everyone's growth chart..one that can go with you anywhere you go...was that taken from your old house? I'm thinking it was but not for sure. 🤔. Lol
