The V8 engine in the 770S certainly has some go, very useful if you find yourself driving in the Ardennes etc. Good rear view mirrors, easy to check other trucks that are way behind you ! A really 👍 nice truck.

1970s 141 V8 with 380 and 420 pk! That was very nice....probably eve bigger thing than this current 770.

Als je zulk een power onder de cabine hebt, waarom word er dan geen gebruik gemaakt van een drukknop om de cabine naar voor te kantelen. Zo moeilijk kan dat toch niet zijn, in plaats van vele malen met die staaf heen en weer te moeten pompen. Verder een prachttruck en mooie informatieve video, waarvoor dank.

Why spec 770 on a 4x2? All that power to pull the lowest weight? The only 770 we should see in UK is heavy haul CAT 2 etc. But guaranteed the timber tangs are ordering them up. Some ridiculously high spec'd timber waggons pass through my town daily. Have tbh, they are damn fine.

Pretty much only need that power if you're hauling max capacity over Alps or sth.. Pretty much everybody will buy 460 or even less. 520 is the most I've seen on the road

it is time for Scania to come up with a completely new line, this version from 2004, which is a little brightened up every year, no longer meets the current times. look at Daf at least they still have guts and have come up with a completely new truck line.

Iveco has unveiled a 910hp version of the new 20ltre v8 . Total crazyness . Man has a 790 in the wings with the d38 engine and volvo rumoured to have an 800 close to being launched . It seems as soon as one company launches the next hp rise then everyone else tries to up it . A few years ago 400 hp was a big engine and most had 320 or 350 . Power gone mad now . But some folk will still buy thse overpowered trucks no matter what the power ends up being .

Yes..had a few years on an FL10-320 and then a M A N F90 332..all at 38T of course. Different world today, biggest I ever had was a 164-480..

You can order any Scania truck with electrical tilt. This one was just not ordered with it.

Torque is what matters, and to its credit, the Scania has 3270Nm, which is locomotive territory.

@@summushieremiasclarkson4700 yeah i know that, but i mean, the hino engine torque just 892Nm which is so small to pull 40ton cargo, but so many cargo transport company used that truck, they love that truck because the engine can struggle with dirty diesel fuel
