So until you change weight limits on the roads/highways keep dreaming you can haul any weight you want. Everything has limits.

I think our USA trucks have more room inside but a V8 truck engine must have some power. Not sure if they have more power then our big 16 liter engines

legin ffoeg 600HP and 2,100 lbs of torque is about the biggest from factory you can get in USA.

Volvo had a 16 liter engine in USA couple years ago. I think it the same or very close the one Volvo has in Europe, but for some reason that engine was a disaster in USA. Volvo stopped making them. The engine would not run and they could not fix them.

Dave Pelfrey Cloud? Many that drive em answered Q's saying "...like a freight train" and that isn't what profession drivers want 24/7. Power is great, don't get me wrong but ever hear the roar of a 747 or live near railroad tracks? Power isn't just "felt", you can hear it. Other trucks out their are running quiet and don't lack power to get the job done. Who wants to pay more in purchase price for power that exceeds weight limits on highways? It's a waste at a higher cost for nothing gained.

Cristian Zaltron Cheaper to buy a brothel without the chassis. Professional drivers don't buy this for a home. You see, it's their chosen profession but to get miles they are forced to "live" in them more than they get home. Most never do or have spouses that can't handle the demands and divorce them. Don't glamorize this way of life. If you think you have tough skin and "no sweat", it's "easy", get your CDL, land a job with a company that provides you a truck, and drive for 2-5 years before you decide this type of life is all wonderful. In that 2-5 years you'll learn what costs O-O (owner/operators) face. Cost of diesel fuel, tolls, repairs, maintenance, rig payments, road food etc. That's not counting child support or divorce lawyers and house payment plus. Truckers aren't dumb lame brained idiots that just sit back and relax driving. Far from it. Not saying you thought that but many do and their sadly wrong.
