I absolutely love that Sam actually wrote a letter. A real, apparently heart-felt letter, to Pike as Scanlan. Only Ashley and Pike know what it says, but none of it was required, especially since to date she hasn't read it on stream. And that is amazing.

From this point you can see pike really change towards him. Theres even a brink moment where shes almost shocked that he shows her a cold shoulder. Ashleys just like "damn, tneres no way she wouldnt fall in love"

Personal theory, not sure if it's 100% accurate or spot on, it's just a theory that I have to share with the world. The letter asks Pike to 1): Take care of Kayleigh like a mom or aunt would. 2):Break the news gently to his mom, other living relatives, and his old troop. 3):Burry him in/near Pike's goddess's newly discovered temple. 4):Don't resurrect him. 5):Find someone to love & cherish for life. [I don't think he's selfish enough to ask Pike to never marry]

by the reaction of the first look it either realy is dickpic or written really nicely. or maybe a song with notes. also its the moment pike changed hermind and fell in love

Personal theory that is really sad and I hate myself for thinking of: in our world, we have do-not-resuscitate forms, saying that basically if someone's heart stops, they want it to stay stopped. This is a world with magical forms of resuscitation. It's been alluded to a lot that Scanlan is the oldest of them, and gnomes can live for centuries. What if Scanlan was asking the healer of the group to, well, not revivify or raise dead?
