Yep. Nahida is the kinda friend he needs, honestly. And he, as a person who has observed the world and who knows how fucked it can be, is the kinda friend she needs. Her kindness can provide him hope. His awareness can prevent her from further abuse.

I feel like she's not taking the parenting role exclusively. She's there to guide him in the right path and help him grow out of his "childhood" traumas while at the same time being there for him. But he is also protecting her from any who would harm her or abuse her kindness, cause even though she's the Lord of Wisdom, she's still very naive, something he's not since he's seen the ugly part of humanity. Therefore I feel like there's actually a mutual "parenting" role between them. They both help fight each other's insecurities.

Pretty sure that's not actually it. Each nation has a different "frame" for the vision: Mondstadt has "wings", Liyue has a square/diamond, Inazuma has a circular ribbon with 3 "buttons" on it, Sumeru has a leaf/leaves, and Shneznaya has what looks like a barbed harpoon head. Wanderer has a Sumeru vision frame, which looks remarkably similar to the Shneznayan vision frames at a glance.

Well grief can turn even the most kind and rational people to do things they should not do. I for one understand and symphatize with ei and scara for the reasons behind their motives, but I never justify their actions.

well, she did lost her family and friends because of a war, so ignoring the fatui when she knew what they were doing would cause a civil war doesn´t make me sympathize with her pain. In the end its just how we view things, each one with a different lens.

They both made mistakes. Scaramouche felt "discarded" by his mother, a goddess, his first friend saw him as a monster and tried to kill him and his another friend saw him die of illness, repudiating the human species and the gods. His problems were justifications for him to run a company of false visions in Inazuma that promoted the civil war to continue and more people to die, Scara became a murderer. While Ei gained an obsession with eternity and seeing archons corrode over time, her ideology of eternity was in jeopardy so she created a puppet body with power equal to or greater than herself and gave it Makoto's sword and Ei introduced her soul on the sword. By losing her corporeal form she could no longer corrode, but that made her leave a puppet in charge of Inazuma and this puppet made many mistakes, Inazuma needed Ei's guidance, not a puppet, and that Ei's mistake allowed the Fatui to incite the flames of war in the shadows. Later, it is assumed that Ei "discarded" and I'm highlighting quotes because she really didn't want someone with feelings to be a 24-hour puppet and that, if you add that Ei was looking for a puppet that didn't feel pain so that even if he received a lot of damage, he would continue fighting, basically if Ei accepted Scara as his new puppet he had to be used 24 hours a day despite having feelings and receiving constant pain from the fight. It would be torture for Scara without freedom for Eternity and fight until the end even if everything hurts and you want not to fight. Ei gave him his freedom but Scaramouche interpreted it as abandonment. A terrible misunderstanding of 2 characters who made a lot of mistakes, ironically they are very similar in the end.

YOU GOT IT BACKWARDS. Most people love Ei because she's "uwu dango milk" and has big boobs completely erasing the fact that she's a tyrannical mass murderer through her puppet and doesn't give one single damn beyond that. Like Miko said, literally a 5-year-old throwing a temper tantrum and hiding in her room while her country goes to crap because of her own doing. Meanwhile everyone hates Scaramouche and can't find any compassion for his background because apparently "he killed Teppei" or whatever. As if the dude were more than a 5 second appearance to move the plot forward. BUUUT, since Scaramouche doesn't have booba-sword cutscene then he doesn't deserve anything but people wanting to beat him up. It's BS. Either BOTH are good or BOTH are bad. (I'm inclined to believe both are morally-gray af.) But waifus and the odd husbando is all that matters in this stupid community. 🙄🙄🙄
