When the warden adds 12 months to West's sentence it means that after West is executed his corpse will be dumped back in his cell for 12 months. Pretty rough on his cell-mate if you ask me.

It was produced for premiere on the Sci-fi channel, yes. But, in order to comply with broadcast and/or union guidelines... This movie and Pumpkinhead 3 were shown on the big screen at The Neon Movies, here in my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. The director even answered a few questions after the movie. It's wild to think... But there's a 35mm print of Beyond Re-Animator somewhere in the world.

The superposition of Bobby Duke (a character Mildred thought up while high on marijuana edibles) as both Mildred's beloved, affectionate, clumsy child whom Mildred adores, and the domineering, condescending, arrogant boss and star of the channel is such a wonderfully funny contradiction.

Gotta say, I love the dialogue paraphrasing.

I forgot about the needle/sausage thing and genuinely spent the first third going "huh, a sausage. That's weird, but okay!"

As a Star Trek Deep Space Nine fan, I have to agree that Jeffrey Combs' presence improves a show tenfold. Whilst a lot more well known as a movie, his role in the Frighteners is also phenomenal

Yuzna did lots of coproductions in Spain, with Fantastic Factory. Rottweiler was one of them, Faust was another. Laura is Elsa Pataky, spanish actress and the wife of Chris Hemsworth (yeah, THAT ONE) and the bold guy is Santiago Segura, famous comedic actor here, friends with Guillermo del Toro, that in the last years has become increasingly cringey for directing the same movie every year about parents who have to deal with their children during vacations while their wives are away and of course "hilarity" ensues because men taking care of children. Also, there are rumours about him and the actresess that worked for him regarding possible abuses.

I can only assume the viewers are meant to infer that the reanimated, discarded eyeball eventually rolls off under its own power, perhaps joining some sort of region or area with other animated eyeballs, whereupon they behold things other than their last visions of death.

I love how they had to CG the evil rat mouth because normal actor rats are too cute

Honestly the resurgence of that song in the furry community is not surprising. Every furry I know loves Reanimator.

Last year, for Halloween I ALMOST recorded a super earnest acoustic cover of "move your dead bones" because my sense of humor is terrible and it's much funnier if you take it 100% seriously. I got tied down with other projects and a sense of shame and personal pride, but maybe if I can overcome all three, I'll do it this year

Well now I want a Batman vs Reanimator. Either a movie or comic, more people should read comics. They're good and fun. I still have yet to see any of the Reanimator movies, but as a kid I definitely spent years jamming out to Move Your Dead Bones after randomly downloading it off Kazaa

I somehow liked this one better than the second Re-Animator because the second just felt like an over the top rehash. Of course nothing beats the original.
