Also, you might consider getting a dash cam with a front and read camera so that you can video the drive without having to worry about hiding your go-pro or other cameras. Stay safe.

Okay, so approaching a coyote is not a good idea. Although rare, coyotes can be rabid, especially if domestic dogs in the area aren't vaccinated. Also, this is the time when coyotes have pups, until about August, and they are very protective about them. And even if a coyote seems tame, friendly, there's a whole other issue regarding them infiltrating towns/cities, eating trash, pet food left out, and really unfortunate, small dogs, cats, if they are really hungry. The best thing any person can do is coyote hazing. That sounds cruel, but it's not. You can do something simple like waving your arms and yelling loudly. There is a ton of helpful information online, especially the humane society. Just wanted you (and others) to know there's a lot to a coyote sighting than we usually know. Stay safe.
