I didn't watch this one until recently since it never airs anywhere and doesn't have a physical release. It's a great design for a villain and a wonderfully spooky gimmick of making cars disapear.

I do hope eventually they'll give home video releases of the entire Scooby Doo show, but at least it's available on Boomerang's streaming

Considering the third season is available on both DVD and Blu-ray already, I think it would be fairly easy to do a complete first and second season blu-ray set without having to address the third season being separate, and not lying about it not being complete as a series. But that's just me. Warner probably is not so keen on the idea lol. (Season 1 being part of the Dynomutt set on DVD probably complicates it.)

@@Scoobytopia They could probably get away with releasing a lost episodes dvd like they did with The New Scooby-Doo Movies. Maybe they could bundle it with the unreleased episodes of Dynomutt from Laff-a-lympics too.

@UnderTheUmbrella_ that's another idea I had, although they would probably have to come up with some kind of conceit for sure instead of calling it the Scooby-Doo show on the cover, since there isn't a single DVD under that name lol. It's kind of unbelievable that there are still episodes from this season that aren't at least on a compilation set somewhere considering how iconic the entire season is and that there are only eight of them.

Season 2 of The Scooby-Doo Show is underrated AF. Pretty much every episode in the Season is great and the monsters and ghosts all spooky. The first of episode of the show I watched just so happens to be from 1977.

great villain and episode i wish they would do a complete second season of The Scooby-Doo Show they should just put all the season 2 episodes on a compilation disc i believe there's only 8 episodes of the season i think all that can fit on one DVD disc (i'm hoping since they're releasing old movies on Blu Ray they'll release all the shows like Be Cool) anyway i think the scariest thing with the Phantom Racer to me is he literally tries trapping Shaggy behind a brick wall

Spooky Space Kook was a Scooby Doo villain that terrified me as a child. That high pitched cackle always sent shivers up my spine. Easily one of the most iconic monsters IMO.

5:09 Sheesh, The Phantom Racer is literally bricking up Shaggy just like the Fat Controller did to Henry when the latter refused to get out of a train tunnel because he was selfish about his nice fresh coat of green paint being ruined by the rain.

Please take good care of yourself! Mental health is important, and any delays in released videos is most definitely worth you taking the time needed for yourself. I caught this episode on re-runs as a child. I wouldn't say it was the most remarkable episode ever, but I definitely enjoyed watching it when I could. Now when I rewatch it (my parents own it on Amazon Prime), I get creeped out by the amount of times the Phantom Racer shows up just spying the gang and laughing.

The phantom racer laughs, but he growled at times and the times he growled, he should laugh instead of growl, but he can growl when he was trying to find shaggy and scooby-doo in the car, when the brick slipped out of his hands and when he got captured

I'm pretty sure this was my first Scooby episode when I was like 4. I loved it, largely because my father was a racing enthusiast. Still one of my favorites, tied with Headless Horseman.

Hey Scoobytopia, I have a theory you might find interesting. What if Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf was actually a prequel to the whole show? Shaggy was a promising racer until the incident with Dracula and afterwards, he stumbled upon Daphne and the rest who were interested in mysteries, and having Shaggy as the only one who witnessed the real monsters, they decided to start investigating the paranormal?

Thanks for the video I honestly don't remember this one too much. It looks like a fun episode. if you are doing scary monsters, my would be the wax phantom, he was creepy. I did like when Daphne'a aunt became a were cat creature, you covered so many, if I think of anymore I'll let you know. great video

The wax phantom is one I've genuinely considered doing just for myself because I've always found it one of the creepiest episodes that has stuck with me since I was a child. I feel like he will make an appearance someday for sure. The were-cat creature also gets very requested, so I feel like that will also appear someday.

I like this was the first time the Scoobyverse experimented with haunted cars as this cursed race could a pun on the real life James Deans haunted car whose said to curse all whose touch it. And this would've been great episode to crossover with Speedbuggy, similar to how the new scooby doo movies of the early 70s did crossovers with famous celeberties.

Oh wow, I have never heard of this ghoul before. He's pretty spooky. With my very little knowledge on vehicle engines, it would be nearly impossible to modify a jet engine to fit and work inside a standard car. I feel like I've seen something like that tested once on like Mythbusters or some other science show, and they were unable to get it to work. Welll, after a quick duckduckgo search, it looks like some plane engines are able to be fitted into a car. They need lots of modding and a check to make sure it'll work with the rest of the car i.e. the drivetrain and transmission, but there seems to be a record of people being able to do it. Although, they do state 'plane' and not 'jet.'

I was always terrified of the Phantom Racer because of how he could brainwash people. That being said I think a scarier villain is the Rambling Ghost from The Ghost that Sacked the Quarterback.

I was recently tweeting about that haha. I get asked a lot, but I didn't get to play games growing up and I'm not very good at them and still don't have a console so I don't think I would be very good going over them let alone playing lol
