You may find it amusing that when the Japanese came to the andamans they did similar atrocities here. My grandparents have faced them. They used to punish the Indians made them eat monitor lizards, snakes and what not. These stories are well known with the people of Andamans.

What u think would have happened if Japan would have win the war, won't they have tried to make India part of their empire. We know this thing for the fact that when British win war we got independence a full throated independence with no strings attached, what better we would have achieved if Japan would have won the war.......? Accept it or not Mahatma Gandhi took the decision of the human history by not going against british and allied forces who were pro Democracy against the inhuman anti Democracy hitler and Japan. Chavdaji got a few things wrong.....the Shogun was like the military PM who ruled Japan in the Emperor's name. Samurai Warlords were called Daimyo and not Shogun. Many Samurai hated Buddhism and were not all Buddhist. Especially during the Sengoku period, Buddhist monks were militarily active in Japan. They have always had a violent history due to actions of their warrior class. Hiroshima and Nagasaki brought them to their senses eventually...... Otherwise great content as usual

The main reason for Hitler to stop the bombardment of London and other cities was that the British air force was too strong to overcome in their own zone.many fighter aircrafts were destroyed in order to capture britain and hitler thought that it would be much better for them to pay attention to the resourceful USSR that he thought was not as strong as britain.

Hitler should have focussed on Britain not USSR..the decision was taken probably looking at the downfall of Weimar republic..he needed vast resources .. Russia had it all .and Hitler's motive was to defeat Stalin and destroy the communism existing out there in USSR Hitler underestimated the Britain..and it's allied forces thinking he can handle well .but USSR had most of the things he wanted, this is something driven his over confidence..he wasn't scared of any British airforce. Good point. "Others were far backward" Including Thailand in 1941.However Japanese Army did help Thailand with the British and French aggression into Thailand from British Burma and Malaya and the French from Indo-China. Thus Thailand was never colonized by the Europeans. Just like Japan.

"others were far backward, offering less resistance to Japan in its action" - And this was what Japanese believed when they started the war in China but what they found out was much of their force stuck in China. There were 1.7 million Japanese troop lost their lives in China, 1 million surrendered to Chinese arm force at the end of the war and another 0,71 million surrendered to Russia in manchuria.

The Showa Restoration marked by the 26th February incident was a turning point in Japanese history, as Japan advanced towards modernization, the Emperor became a mere puppet at the hands of the 'daibatsu' who were an elite class of capitalists and military officials who wanted to establish a military junta and held ambitions far more than they were capable of. Fortunately a few young officers of the Japanese Military who were fiercely loyal to the Emperor, saw right through their ambitions and attempted a coup to restore the Emperor as the absolute authority in the country and execute the Daibatsu for their crimes. They mustered about 1 million soldiers to their righteous cause and had nearly succeeded, until Emperor Hirohito- the one whom they had greatly revered, rebuked their loyalty and ordered them to lay down their arms. Those honorable men did as the Emperor commanded them, though they wielded the power to imprison him and act as his reagents. They were tried and executed. After their deaths, corrupt officials like Prime Minister Hideki Tojo took power from the Emperor, under the pretext of another preventing another such coup, and went on to commit horrific war crimes in China, South korea, Southern Asia and blunders like the Pearl harbor, which eventually led to Japan's defeat and the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Had those Officers succeeded in restoring the Emperor's prestige and authority, and curbed the ambitions of men like Tojo, Japan wouldn't have had to suffer as it did. Emperor Hirohito later commemorated them in his memoir which was released in 2019. They thought about Japan from the bottom of their hearts, may their souls rest peacefully and watch over their now prospering nation.

The Germans didn't lose to the Russians at Moscow as Avijit Chavda said. They lost at the city of Stalingrad (modern Volgograd). That battle is famous at the Battle of Stalingrad which was the turning point in the World War 2.

You are completely wrong here, and need to read up on history. The Germans did lose at Moscow as well, read about the Battle of Moscow. This will be a long comment. The Germans launched a three pronged attack into the USSR with Operator Barbarossa, through Army Group North whose objective was Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Army Group Center whose objective was Smolensk, which would eventually lead them to Moscow, and Army Group South, with Kiev as it's objective as they wanted the Granaries in Ukraine and the oil fields in the Caucasus which would only here eventually lead to the Battle of Stalingrad what you were talking about as they were always short on supplies, they were supported by the Finns in the North and the Italians and Romanians in the Center South. To put it short, they had infact almost defeated the Soviets at Moscow, with only 90000 men standing against the entire 2nd Army supported by the 2nd and 3rd Panzer Groups by October 1941, if not for the onset of the rain and the imminent Russian Winter, which turned all the roads leading to Moscow into swamp and mud, and tied down the entire German Advance. They had still managed to reach within 24 km of Moscow by 2nd December, but, this gave the Soviets just enough time to gather some desperately needed reinforcements for the brilliant defence of Moscow by Georgy Zhukov, one of the greatest (if not the greatest) generals of the time. The defenders under Zhukov then launched a massive counterattack as part of the Soviet Winter Offensive, and by January 7 1942 pushed the Germans back by 250 km. Granted Stalingrad was one of the most important battles, but it was not the only decisive Battle fought by the Soviets, this shows a major lack of knowledge, it was fought by Army Group South's Group B during Aug 1942- Feb '43, quite some time after the Battle of Moscow. The Battle of Moscow gave the Soviets a much needed victory when it was desperately needed, at a time when they were loosing one Battle after another, and allowed them to finally start pushing the Germans back, and attack on the offensive. You need to read history before you make such misleading comments.

◆◆◆ Has the US Apologized For WW2 Atrocities?? ◆◆◆ People in the world don't know the enormous atrocities against Japan by the Allies ❢❢❢ Between 1944 and 1945, Allied forces massacred more than one million Japanese civilians with indiscriminate bombing, a clear violation of the laws of war. For example, the Great Tokyo Air Raid on March 10, 1945 killed more than 100,000 civilians and injured more than one million in a single day. In the same month, the cities of Osaka, Nagoya, and Kobe were hit by similar heavy air raids. From April to August 1945, thousands of civilians were also killed in violent airstrikes in Fukushima, Kanagawa, Hiroshima, Yokohama, Ibaraki, Kagoshima, Hamamatsu, Fukuoka, Shizuoka, Kure, Nagasaki, Okayama, Kumamoto, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Chiba, Kofu, Wakayama, Sendai, Utsunomiya, Iwate, Hokkaido, Chiba, Aomori, Niigata, Toyama and other local cities. Finally, atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, incinerating and blowing away hundreds of thousands of people in an instant. Hundreds of thousands of people who went to the rescue in Hiroshima and Nagasaki also died a few months after being exposed to radiation. Still other survivors also died of cancer and leukemia years later. Even in the midst of these atomic bombings, thousands of Japanese civilians died in heavy U.S. airstrikes in Aichi, Fukuoka, Iwate, Yamaguchi, Saitama, Gunma, and Akita.

@@premsingh-yi4dg I'm not justifying the war crimes committed by Imperial Army. I'm just saying that Hirohito was powerless infront of them. There was even an assassination attempt done on by Hirohito by the imperial army. And Hirohito has indeed tried to apologised many times albeit he was unsuccessful many times. "It is indeed regrettable that there was an unfortunate past between us for a period in this century and I believe that it should not be repeated again.” said Hirohito to President Chun Doo Hwan of South Korea in 1984. In 1995 Maruyama Tomiichi offered a far much extensive apology. In 1952 Hirohito also tried to express remorse about the WW2 but he was stopped by the prime minister at the time because they thought the people would perceive that he was responsible for all the atrocities. Again the war crimes would have been committed anyway even if Hirohito was there or not.

What is so scary in facts. Samurai soldiers in Nanking in WW2 had openly carried out beheading competitions of Chinese civilians using Samurai sword. They had bayonetted even children so that they don't suffer the loss of parents etc viz bad karma of birth. There are various beliefs in various communities. The butchery in Ukrainian conflict is the Slav culture. South Asia also has lynching, beheading etc. Humans are predatory animals when empowered. Was Vietnam or Afghanistan or Iraq clean operations? Lynching of suspect cattle traffickers is also culture?

Japanese troops actually horrified the whole world at that time in WW2 , no one got their records in our textbooks as well as foreign textbooks . That was the actual reason for Hiroshima and Nagasaki Nuclear Attack . They were not stopping , they kept occupying and damaging what they get . Even the Pop culture shows about them so much now like in the movie "The Wolverine" and games like "Call of Duty 5 : World At War " ...and believe me that game is way too realistic and horrifying bcoz the Japanese troops were so brutal that the US Military was afraid of them at once that time . And the original footages of that time of WW2 was actually used in COD5 : World At War .
