According to a Cougar expert, she was treating him like a dangerous male puma. Male pumas will kill Cubs that are not their own. Not turning his back saved him from her bitting his ass! Every time he tried to bend down to get a rock, she did that terrifying mock charge. She did that from only 4-6 feet away, his phone make it look further back. But she was closer then she looks. It’s a good thing he did not trip either! I don’t blame the cougar mom. She was just doing her job, which was to protect her Cubs. I am glad this was a non-lethal encounter. This once in a life time clip can save numerous human and cougar lives in my opinion. There is a difference between an aggressive, or just protective cougar. Frankly as a hunter I love Cougars and will NEVER hunt one for sport. They are my spirit animal. But I will never forget they are WILD and not house cats. I see one, I will back away slowly, keeping eye contact. I will not appear weak. But I will not challenge it or act to aggressive back. Especially if Cubs are near by. Only if the cougar is suffering, like rabies or is critically injured will I shoot it. I hate suffering, and will probably cry my eyes out if I had to shoot it. There is a man who devoted his life to studying Cougars after he was hunting and decided to take a nap. He woke up and a cougar was just inches from his face, looking at him. He was to terrified to live or do anything. The cougar just looked at him, gave a big old “kitty kiss/lick” and walked off. That man had been chosen for something, and blessed. He now sets up trail cameras and studies all the Cougars in his area. He is a self taught cougar professional that is respected for what he has learned. I am actually jealous!

I was born and raised in the state of Idaho. A backpacker/fisherman and I hunted but mostly birds(pheasant, ducks, grouse and quail). I've never had an encounter like that but I know a man that has. I've heard strange and scary noises in the woods in both night time and daylight. I ALWAYS carry a firearm. A rifle or at least my pistol. My pistol holds 17 rounds and I figure I can waste a shot or two on trying to scare something without destroying nature's beauty.

It depends where you live in Brazil... Brazil has Tornadoes, but nothing compared to the USA Tornadoes. I have a friend that lived for few years in an area in Brazil, South of Brazil that doesn’t have a big population in the area. Because, unlike here, in the USA, where I live, middle of the country, Kansas, where Tornadoes are monstrously powerful, destroying everything around, homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, etc... Because of Insurances, people have the money to rebuild their homes and businesses in the same area, always. We don’t have that level, number of people with house insurance that are able to rebuild in the area they know it’s Tornado Alley! Most of those areas with Tornado in Brazil, are areas where they have big farms. I hunt about 3 hrs from my house and you start early and end late and want to be up early the next day, we will often camp out in the area..having said that you can hear the crackling of fire in the audio so I don't think he was wondering to far from his camp

When I was a child (maybe 3rd grade) a girl moved to my town and into my classroom who had recently lived through a tornado just before moving to our state. Every time a thunder storm would come through, she would lose her mind with fear and panic. I believe I have even been traumatized with fear of tornadoes due to merely seeing how legitimately devastated this girl was from her previous experience. I’m glad you and your family were able to stay safe!

My old tack room had a entity that kept messing with the lights...not, just a barn owl droppin' her pellets in the wrong place. However, just 2 days ago I went to plug in my phone charger and just as I was about to do just that, I happened to notice it had a prong missing. Well that surely was a first...? I glanced at the kitchen counter...hmmm, no prong. Then I looked at the electric outlet and there it was. I turned off the circuit breaker, removed the prong , turned breaker back on. I say all of that simply to explain how fresh in my mind that sound is...yep, the sound on this clip here where some strange entity is causing the lights to go off and on, heck, if she really wanted to catch it on vid all she needed to do was to film who, (oops,..what) was flipping the breaker switch .

I am probably older than you all, but that sounds like an old light switch. When I was a kid, a lot of the houses had those kind of switches. They were round and had a loud click when you turned them on or off. Every once in a while you can still run across a place with those types of switches. Though for the most part, you find them in outbuildings or barns or cellars now days.

I’ve been in tornadoes and that happens so fast, especially when there’s no discernible funnel cloud - as in small twisters or straight line winds. I was caught in a restaurant like this and power went out, roof across street ripped off, and it was absolutely calm moments before. Easy to be brave watching YT, much different in the moment.

I ran out my house shaking and sobbing uncontrollably....think I even peed a little LOL...then sat on the doorstep for hours waiting for my housemates to arrive. She just stayed there...if it's real she is the bravest person I can imagine . Fear like that takes your breath away and chills you to the core!

You can hear the switch in the kitchen turning off and on. And what about that sliding door that closed by itself? Did you see how hard it was for her to try and open again?
