Now if everyone else could follow the same strategy, there would be less problems in life and more empowerment to fix and help others fix problems as they arise. Rest in peace John, you made the world a little brighter thanks to what you chose to do and millions love the talent that was once your crutch.

I had a stuttering problem when I was a child and through my teenage years. The bullying was unbearable. Even a high school teacher took part in making fun of my stuttering. It was crushing. I was lucky enough, the school district, at the request of my parents, got me into speech therapy classes. It took a couple of years but the stuttering issue got SO much better. Once in a while, I still stutter, but it is not often and it is somewhat minimal. God bless you John. Your perseverance should be an example to all with the same speech issue.

You know, even 6 years after this video was made and is now in my recommended. The Scatman is still one of the better artists. That has given many actual hope and showed that despite your quirks and “disabilities” you can still succeed in life, and honestly that’s kinda what we need more of in this current day and age. R.I.P John.

Scatman John had more talent in his moustache than the entirety of today's music industry.

Thank you so much for sharing this. My dad introduced this to me at a young age and I almost forgot about it. He was so a beautiful person who died way too young, his messages were so beautiful and positive, I definitely teared up in the end.

I remember the first time I heard his famous song. I was completely blown away. As it didn't sound like anything I've ever heard before, or since. R.I.P Scatman. Thanks.

Imagine your dad being Scatman John and you have your friends over for the birthday party and he says 'buududuudududududud dumitydop" or something to that effect. RIP Scatman. 1995 was a good year because of your music.

I think it's very inspiring that it took him til he was 45 to come out of his shell. I'm in my 30s and feel often lost and held back so hearing John was able to live the life he wanted later in life. I've always referenced John when talking about 90s music as it's simply a joy to talk about. It's a shame we lost him at a young age - imagine the following he'd get online today. :) Thank you for this short documentary, a pleasure to watch!

Great John Larkin. Great jazz pianist, great EDM musician, great person. 17 years since you took the elevator and we're still here dancing to your beats. Your message lives on.
