the guys from Meshuggah are such cool dudes you just wanna hang out with. they ask marten to plug something and most people in that situation would do shamelss self promotion, but he's like 'go check out this band I think is really great' my dream is to spend an afternoon with these guys just toking up and talking about whatever \mm/

Why do I keep hearing a slight reverb? Like, not just a room reverb, but like you purposely added a reverb of some sorts to the audio?

I wouldn't say American bands are wannabes. Don't get me wrong, I love Meshuggah and I'll agree that there are a lot of bands that completely copy them, but there are a lot of American bands that have really developed their own sound, even if they use the basic foundations that Meshuggah put forth. Think about it. Neither Periphery nor Animals as Leaders (both American) sound anything like Meshuggah. If you want a band that sounds almost identical to Meshuggah, try Vildhjarta (Sweden).

I don't really agree with the djent thing, I think people put Meshuggah in that category, but they ain't. No one does what Meshuggah has done, and they have their own approach, their own sound.
