The demon possesses Dalton (Ty Simpkins) and attempts to kill Chris (Sinclair Daniel), but Josh (Patrick Wilson) rescues them. They escape through the red door but Josh has to stay to keep it sealed shut.

It was about time too ain’t it? Insidious 3 with the mother of the girl that asked Elise for help and then in 4 with Elise’s own mother saving her. It was time someone’s spirit dad saved one

I'm gonna nit pick for a second so bear with me. We all know that the red face demon is a powerful demon and hes been waiting to possess dalton for so long, but when he finally possessed him, all he did was fling chris once and just smiled creepily at her while tying a knot in his hands.....WHY!? Out of all the things he could've done, why did he just do that?? He's a freaking demon! He could've at least thrashed her around or tried to choke her, you know, like something an actual demon would do! Im sorry if i sound aggressive but come on, if your making a movie and a demon possess someone, make them do demon stuff. Comment if you agree

@@jellopy24 exactly. I loved the movie, but seriously, lipstick face could've done more then scare and be creepy. He could've caused actual pain to chris and then try and fight dalton and josh while they were in his lair. When I saw the trailer and they showed the lipstick face demon behind dalton, I was so excited! But in the final cut they changed it:(

I hated the way they wrote dalton in this movie. They made him out as a dick for little to no reason, while his dad is just trying his best. It felt like most of the movie made dalton out to be bad until they started getting to the end so it at least made sense for his dad to want to save him. Good ending, cool action sequences, but the writing seemed rushed for some of the characters
