After the little break where the Eagle scene is, Dave uses abbreviations for his wordplay in the verse. HMU = hit me up H U G = hug, obviously HMV = store in UK that sells music, etc. HMP = prison in UK DMU = De Montfort University (I believe Dave went there?) DM = direct message, obvious! IC3 = police code for a black person Dave is known for being one of the best lyrical rappers in the UK for a reason 😂🇬🇧

DMU is De Montfort University, it’s where Dave studied. IC3 - It’s a Police Classification code IC (Icy) 3 is the code for black people. IC1 is Caucasian, not sure about the others. This is light for Dave, yous really need to do his Blackbox freestyle he was 16 in that, and is Blackbox cypher he was 17, then Dave Black live at the brit awards 2020, but do research on Jack Merritt (London bridge terror attack) & Grenfell tower (Fire) so you understand what he is talking about at the end of the performance, Dave is literally the GOAT, there isnt that many rappers that can compete with his lyrical ability plus he is super smart and mature for his age 👌🏼👌🏼

IC3 is an ethnicity marker by the cops in the Uk. Uk cops have code words for different ethnic groups. IC2 means “Caucasian” I believe. So a cop would be like on the radio “I’m identifying an IC2 male suspect” something along those lines
