Disdainful stroke reads counter target SPELL.. how is it he can counter the siege rhino?

Kid Flash every time you cast a non land card, its called a spell. dissolve reads counter target spell too.

I would have tapped 8 mana and windmilled each lightning strike. Still a great ending to game 1.

In Jim's defense, since Brad plays 4 Lightning Strikes at once, does Jim even know he's got them in his 4 colour mish-mash of a deck? Not sure if he revealed one off a Courser or not... That's such a high level call to play around all four copies of a card he hasn't seen. He was also aggressively gaining life, so really, he's on the right track, he just had to know Brad had all three, was looking for four, and found it on that draw step. Yeesh.

control players tend to just try to "lock" their opponent and not directly deal with threats like 1/1s. i've lost the count about how many points of damage that satyr dealt LOL surely more than 10

in game 2 at 40:29, brad just played an elspeth, and jim has glare of heresy and mana to cast it. Jim doesn't cast heresy, why? i know there is the option that his own elspeth would make MAYBE brad attack jim's elspeth instead of going directly to life points, but it doesn't seem like brad would do that, there is no reason to. I guess it was just an error caused by the pressure of losing game one after 30 minutes or so. even sparing that glare for a butcher of the horde or rhino doesn't seem good, a mistake that made things go bad, but that happens when you are under pressure and playing the game against someone that is a pro player.

Well, if he had used glare, then he is going to take 5 in the face next turn, by casting elspeth he can trade soldiers and then glare next turn, that was not a misstep. That seemed like the play to me, unless you thought Glare was instant.
