I liked this scene esp when shun gets to make a decision he starts looking at his grandmother and father for guidance, as if he never was allowed a choice before. Shiyi is a great parent that allows Zhun to make choices after explaining the pros and cons of the decision.

I love how YiHen looked at the great madam, after what she says and brushed off the conversation with have some tea mother. Her way of saying I don't think so. Lol! But great Mada. Is too stubborn.

I hate favoritism 😡 I can absolutely relate to Shiyi. My mother, stepfather, 3 sisters, and 1 brother all hated me and made my childhood a living hell until I was 16 and the family was forced into family therapy. The therapist luckily saw how my parents and siblings interacted with me, it was the first time I had hope for the future.🙂 My therapist ripped them all a new one lol. Then I left for 2 years for the military. Now we are all close. Not everyone can say they were bullied at home and at school. At school it was my skin color, at home it was because I still wanted to be apart of my dad’s life even though he wasn’t a good dad. But what did I know I was only 6 when he left.🤷🏽‍♀️ It just shows with this drama or life you can be the sweetest, honest, most helpful person willing to put yourself in harms way for the family and it doesn’t make a difference.

不知道為甚麼，近幾年的古裝劇，都配置一個心機重的婆婆，家裡/宮裡各種風波鬥爭，始作俑者其實都是掌權的婆婆。

I love that Lingyi isn't fooled by Lianfang's innocent act. The great Madam is so far up Lianfang's ass that she can't see what's right in front of her face. She constantly sides with Lianfang before knowing what's happening. She tried to make it appear that Shiyi wasn't capable of taking care of Zhun. She was expecting the great Madam to put her in charge of Zhun's care again. It's a good thing that Shiyi is wise beyond her years. She cut Lianfang and the great Madam off at the knees before they could do any damage. Her reasoning was sound and just...she gave Zhun the pros and cons/allowed him to make the decision. The great Madam continues to show why she shouldn't be in charge of the Xu family's affairs. She's incapable of making a wise decision. She finally admitted that Shiyi is smart. I love how she's rewriting history by making it seem as though Lianfang was forced into becoming a concubine. She chose to become a concubine. She wasn't forced/she was given a choice...but she was too obsessed with Lingyi and decided to be a concubine instead of becoming a legal wife to someone else.

At 1:10 it kind of reminded him that he has been strict with his children too😂

Yea she's done a lot killed your daughter in law your unborn grand child and harmed your living one 😠👎😠🤬🤬
