Do you understand how it is back then? There is saying that kings have 3000 women with the Empress being the main wife. Basically, he is able to sleep with not only any concubine but also any maids too. Now he is the king so has that advantage but of course that is not allowed for the average man. That is one of the many reasons why many like being king so much.

Vi este drama el amor y las dificultade que enfrentartos juntos y eran inseparables hasta que lo engañaron a el acostandose con otra y el juramento que el le hizo quedo roto en un instante cuando lo ve en la cama con otra, despues de esto nada fue igual para los dos hasta el se alejo de ella hasta el dia de su muerte que el fue a verla. El fue cruel con ella y ella murio de sufrimiento.

So it's alright for him to break his promise, but she can't get mad. And after she called him out then he had the nerves to say I'm the emperor and can have as many women as I want. So what if other emperors did it that doesn't mean you have to break your promise and follow suite. No woman want to share their husband. He was wrong in so many ways. Shame on it all. And yes I know what era it was, but a promise is a promise.

I agree but at the same time, she should not have asked him to promise that as he is a king. Men with power, especially kings will rarely ever be faithful to just one woman.

@@TrinhNguyen-sh4fj True, and I agree she shouldn't have asked. But even if she asked he shouldn't have made a promise that he knew he wasn't going to keep. Doesn't matter that he was a king, he should have handled things better than what he did. Although he said that he loved her, but he never truly loved her but he loved her mind and the fact that she could run the country while he had leisure time. On the other hand this is just a drama and both our opinions 😊

From what I know in history, she did the same thing and yes, he had other wives. Which king or anyone in power will have only one wife? This series makes it out like that. From what I know, he did love her in history but he did not only love her. He was very scared of his wife.

Power got to his head, & he was easy to manipulate. This girl & her aunt (the one hugging her), are straight up idiots. The Empress didn’t even do anything to their family. Her crazy grandfather was the one that ruined the lives of her mom and dad. The aunt knew she had nothing to do with the end of her family🙄. But for some stupid ass reason, she still wanted the empress to pay. Let me add that when this overdramatic girl was a child, she was already infatuated with the now king. She hated the now empress, because she “took” him away from her, when they married.

Jarang ada orang yang selamat saat diuji dengan kekuasaan. Si cowok saat masih susah, cintrongnya setengah mampus ke Dugu. Janjinya berjuta juta. Tapi saat pada puncak kekuasaan yang dibangun bersama Dugu (yang pinter di sini malah Dugu untuk ngatur siasat dan stategi), si cowok malah menolak lupa, malah nyalahin Dugu dibilang gak masuk akal saat ngingetin. Anak mereka, terbuai kekuasaan jadi ancur semua. Dinasti yang di bangun juga akhirnya hancur. Karena 1, kekuasaan. Tidak kuat drajat.
