I still buy Schlitz beer at a local liquor store here in Milwaukee. I love Schlitz.

Schlitz is a fantastic beer. I have done numerous blind beer taste test with many beer snobs. Some of the old classics such as Schlitz, and Hamms’s seem to win. Too many snobs and naysayers. I have converted many. Don’t forget Coors Banquet. A fantastic lager.

Just bought a 12 pack yesterday for $13. It's one of my all time favorites. Nice review, nice to see Schlitz being reviewed.

The company was founded by August Krug in 1849, but ownership passed to Joseph Schlitz in 1858 when he married Krug's widow. Schlitz was bought by Stroh Brewery Company in 1982 and subsequently sold along with the rest of Stroh's assets to Pabst Brewing Company in 1999. Pabst produced several varieties of Schlitz beers alongside Old Milwaukee. Pabst has stuck to the original recipe for schlitz.

We took that beer to a beach party one time , and the girls all got sand in there schlitz. Cheers

This is my favorite standard American lager. I live in South Jersey but travel the short distance to Delaware and I can only get 12 pack cans for 9 bucks. Sure wish I could find bottles. Good review and I just subscribed.

What a lucky year for me to snag and try to hard to find old school Boomer Beers in Western Massachusetts ! The first one Hamms was one i kindly requested from a very small regional supermarket about a month ago The second Schlifz , a friend of mine snagged at a beverage shop in nearby SW Vermont For taste mild flavor and not too hoppy on my palate both rock , and leave other fave Boomer beers behind ! This includes PBR Miller Gansett and Genny Cream ! May i say between the Hamms and Schlitz so hard to choose my first preference now ! My only complaint is higher price of Schlitz ! It is $12 a 12 pack in VT vs a case of 24 Hammss for only $15 !! Love your channel ! Keep up the great job !

It's been 9 years since it was available in Tampa and I sure miss it.Schlitz is the company that invented the brown bottle a Industry standard in 1911

Used to drink them in the 1970's, growing up in the Chicago area.

We used to get bottles, here, but now it's only cans ($11.99 per 12-pack).

I watched one Schlitz video and now....I was a Old Milwaukee fan as a youth in the late 80s

Just read on another site that Miller beer will not be brewing Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Milwaukee and Schlitz beer after 2024. Another company called, City Brewing, with 4 different locations will do the brewing for Miller by the end of 2024. It would be nice if they brewed Schlitz from the original formula once again.

It was the beer of choice of Charles Bukowski. Thats enough reason for me to drink it.

The used the old recipe from before they changed it and ruined the company. Has a nice German taste to it.

Grew up around it. Not available in California.

King of Crap beers. The brew that Milwaukee sick. You said 1/2 finger of head and that was very generous because by the time you put it to your nose, it had already dissipated. The price is high to make ppl think their buying some kind of revised version of a once good beer (like kids making Pabst popular again). It's almost drinkable if near the freezing point. Garbage.

Horrible. Memories of taking just a taste of Schlitz as a kid still makes me nauseous.
