This build is a small Main Street community retail lot with several shops/buildings for your sims to enjoy. There is a flower shop, hair salon, internet cafe, clothing store & library. There is also a 1 bedroom/ 1 bath apartment if you want to run as a retail.
Always use bb.moveobjects right before placing my lots
Gameplay Notes:
1)I built this lot on The Portsmouth Promenade in Evergreen Harbor it will run fine as a community retail lot, however, if you want to own and run this lot it must be moved to another world as Evergreen Harbor has a major bug with any lot types that can be 'opened' (restaurant, vet clinic or retail). Also keep in mind that this a 30 WIDE x 20 lot, so make sure it is placed on the right 30x20.
2) I play tested this as a lot owner and if you put items for sale in multiple stores it is best to have a couple living in the apartment. As long as you have mannequins in the clothing store, do not lock the doors to the clothing store as sims will always try to get to the mannequins. If you just want to play the clothing store, the clothing store doors can be successfully locked if the mannequins are removed.

I hope that one day multifunctional lots will be functional and we will have more space to create longer streets with townhouses, shops, restaurants ect. I really love your building. It reminds me my beautiful Europe. :)

Thank you! , the lot does function both as a owned business & community retail lot (gameplay notes in video description) But I know what you mean, the functionality of a few stores on one lot could be much better!

Omg schnuck stop it!!!! You’re in my head! I was trying to build something like this but I made a tiki bar with dj booth a cafe an apartment complex and Asian inspired restaurant! I’m no way near as good as you though! Lol! Yours is so beautiful! ❤️ thank you for another upload!! 🥺❤️

This is so nice. ! Glad I found it. My Sims need a street or two of town-life. Can’t wait to get it up and open. It’s always better Simming if life seems real and there are places to go outside of the house. I’d like to see more like this. Thank you for a wonderful diversion.

I can't tell if you are being serious or sarcastic LOL, but I did post in the comments on this lot that any lots with mannequins may make your game crash.

@@aprilcherrington382 No, this lot was built long before the mannequin bug, don't even think I still have the save I built it in. I just tried placing it and my game crashed so no way for me to remove them neither unfortunately.

I’m kinda new to the Sims and I was reading your gameplay notes on the description but I got a little confused 😅 so you can have a sim live in the apt and have the stores be playable retail stores? I really want to play with this build in my world its amazing! 😍

You can either use this as a community lot & sims will shop there or you can own it and run the flower shop & clothing store (this is why I recommend a couple) The way it works without a mod is a sim needs to own another property somewhere, I usually choose an empty lot in a world I don't play much like Strangerville or something, then they can buy a business and if there is a living area on the lot your sim can just stay there. Also, make sure you use the door lock features and lock your apt. door. I don't tend to play families with kids when I own a business, so I don't know how it would be with kids, but it works fine for adults.

I absolutely love your builds🙂! I see you have your builds downloaded on a Tray file, but will they ever be on the Gallery under your Origin ID? I looked at your Origin ID and there are no recent builds out there.

i really love it but now i found out that if you download a clothes store that has mannequins are dressed will crashed the game mine just recently started and others ive talked to. This build looks like real life to be even missed

@@Schnuck01 your very welcome see i always thought it was from the updates i didnt know it was caused from the cottage living i thank you so much for telling me appericate it so much i know there was alot of people complaining about it and EA wont do anything about it. at first it was my mods or bad cc it wasnt it all like ok something wrong you know. i always like to have builds like this in my game make it look more realistic. i dont mind waiting but i did download some of your amazing builds

Yes, Get Famous - you can cut/style hair and do makeup with the chair.

I always wanted the Sims team, to allow us having multiple functional community lots working on one lot, and to have a business on the home lot as well! Like it would just make things so much easier and attractive to have when you play with it in the game! But how does the lot run? Like how much of it is or isn't usable in the different settings? Also did you play with the new pack, and if you did, what do you think?

I agree with multiple functional lots, they totally should make that a thing, because I hate all the load screens when sims travel and rather have everything on one lot. I have some gameplay notes on this in the description, I played it as both the owner & visitor to the lot. Setting it as a community retail (no owner) your sims will shop, use the internet cafe, visit the library or click on a salon chair and get a haircut, etc You can also play as the owner, but I recommend having a couple run the place. I have just completed a build in the new world, which is beautiful, but I haven't done much actual gameplay, yet. With that said, from a build/buy point of view, the pack feels a little light to me. I would honestly recommend to those who are interested in buying it, but haven't yet, to wait for a sale.

@@Schnuck01 I'm not the best at reading descriptions, I always forget to check, so thank you for still taking your time to answer me. I'm not in the biggest "playing mood" at the moment, so I did consider wait for a sale. I haven't checked out any of the game play videos yet, only build videos, and I was getting mixed feelings from most of the videos, even in the same video at the same time, so I'm going to take your advice and wait for the sale. But the world looks beautiful, heard there was some criticism of the natural lighting, and the Japanese inspiration is cool. Simmers being able to take off their shoes when they enter a house is long overdue, so that's an exciting little detail they added to the game play!

You can live at your business I do it all the time. I've uploaded a starter combo business and apt. Just buy the cheapest lot, buy the business and "Get to Work" (pun intended)

@@2kdesignstudios72 What if you got kids? Don't they always end back on the home lot? Used to happen to me back then. And if you got a restaurant, you can't have a dinning place in the apartment, since you won't be able to use it?
