Also, Inside the Chieftain's Hatch style. He can do an "Oh bugger, the sword is on fire" test and see how quickly and easily he can remove the sword and scabbard from his belt. :D

I never knew this, and I lived 10 mins walk away in Ealing for 3 years. -Sad face- Now I'm all the way over in East London as you know. I never knew you did the auctions. I hope to see your website full with lots of new swords, I kept visiting to get some more sabres off you, but your website had very few restoration pieces for the last few months. I don't really wanna give up any of my swords, but I will buy the ones you sell :D

Hey Matt, what are the laws concerning shipping obsolete calibre firearms overseas? I have an obsolete calibre revolver and would like to ship it to the USA. Are there any special rules/laws about how it should be posted?

On a serious note however I may have a few pieces to contribute. Being in Canada however I wonder what the process would to get them over to you for the auction?

I expect it would be prohibitively expensive. Better to look for options closer to you.

The vendor would have to cover the shipping cost to get them to us, but actually that's not so expensive from Canada. I can get a box of swords to Canada for £40-80 depending on the weight. Given that the auction market is very buoyant here, it is often worth sending things to auction in the UK and I know several major collections from around the world (including Canada) which have been consigned to auction in the UK.

"Obsolete calibers" You said. Well in my perspective 7.62x54 (russian) is obsolete as hell. Still in service since XIX(!). It has a HUGE rim btw. Thus can I buy from your auction house something like PKM or maybe Dragunov?

Another point in favour of Chiswick is its a good auction house for "reasonable" price stuff at reasonable prices. A couple of the "name" houses in London seem to ask silly money prices simply based on their name. Chiswick isnt one of them thank god.

There is Skallgrim, there is -a Skallgrim copy- Metatron and other Skallgrim copies that adequetly cover the fantasy/game stuff. And they're doing a great job all of them. I understand that you want to expand your field and attract more subscribers which isn't a bad thing at all. The bad thing is that there are not many people focused on solid scientific and historical research. You and the excellent Knyght Errant are the best channels I have found all these years and even though financial liberty is essential, I find it sad to see scholagladiatoria slowly moving to easy, catchy and charted areas. Yes I know, it is irrelevant to this vid.

Yeah, Matt and Knyght Errant are the two I follow, because they have a strong focus on actual historical research. Many other channels tend to focus on pop culture or in some cases just speculate instead of give informed information. Well I follow Tod too, but he doesn't post a whole lot. I have learned a lot about crossbows from him though.

I have no idea. My main specialism is swords of course, there are many people who are more specialist on firearms, medals or other things.

I don't know how the english laws concerning this are, but in Germany a video like this might have to be marked as "advertisement". Not to hate on it or anything, but some german KZfaqrs were heavily fined for promoting businesses they were part of without proper indication, so be careful :)

This is fully legal under the UK CAP broadcasting codes relating to advertising. Promotional content must be distinguishable from editorial (news) content. The simple act of saying hey I work here please come use this service is clear enough for UK law.
