Thank you for this video ! As a nagging momma , I love the idea of Saturday scholarships , I needed that , I tend to find the scholarships and then let my student know when it’s due . But leading up to the deadline I become nagging monster . This will alleviate that process ..

@TheScholarshipSystem Thanks for the video and tip! My twins have applied to at least 50-60 scholarships; most, if not all, are national, and they haven't heard back or won any of them. We started to think scholarships are either too hard to get or are scams, but watching your videos helped me reconsider. We're at crunch time where my boys need to commit and make a decision, and they haven't yet because they are waiting on funding award letters.

National scholarships are very competitive and harder to win than local scholarships. We encourage families to focus on local, regional, and state scholarships. Those decisions are usually awarded in late April to mid-May.

A couple of the scholarship books are read, said it is also okay for parents to help edit the essay

Vauable video, Jocelyn. We've submitted about 10-12 scholarship applcations since we found you in January. We're curious how many scholarship applcations you consider is the sweet spot?

It depends, since students have a higher chance of winning local scholarships compared to national scholarships. So the quality of scholarships matter. Applying to 20 local scholarships could yield higher results than applying to 100 national ones.

Heard that we can apply for scholarships for our children under 15. If that’s the case where do they send the scholarships?

When students are that young, organizations will send the award directly to the student.
