A student safety/behavioral incentive which has been very successful for my elementary school students.

A child that is acknowledged for good behavior, and rewarded is a child that will follow directions, understand safety and listen intently.

I remember when my school bus driver gave us a ticket that we turned in every Friday to our teacher to redeem for ice cream

Love the idea but unfortunately one district I drove for didn't. They were an " everyone gets a trophy or noone" so I was told to stop doing it 😥

Sorry to hear that, so far, it’s been a positive behavior motivator and training tool for place of safety.

The drivers for our contractor were working in correlation with the school district and did red, yellow, and green cards. Each day if the driver held held up a green card when they got off that signaled that they were on good behavior and received a prize upon entering the office. If it was yellow or red then it indicated they need to work on their behavior. But in general I love this idea and it gives very good incentives.

I like the green, yellow, red idea! What I like more is the willingness on both sides to work together to make create positive change and outcomes.

I think it's a good idea. I'll have to mention it when I get started soonin Virginia.It's sad though, that incentives are needed.

I'm 4 months in driving the school bus but am tempted to not continue next semester..these kids are, as I was warned, pretty unruly.Maybe I should try incentives. I finally did a few assigned seats and that helped

I was blown away by how responsive the kids were to this small incentive. Even my 5th graders were into receiving the, swag tags. I'm going to research how to create making my own, but for now, they are available at school life.com.

I love the swag tag that is so nice when I was riding the school bus we did not get no swag tag or nothing like that so Thresa I really do like that

I wasn't sure how effective the swag tag idea would be, but was blown away with how popular it has been but more importantly, how effective it has been.
