Ida has a hard time making friends. One day, her weird class teacher announces that everyone in the class will have a magical animal with them. Ida is put to the side of the fox Rabbat. Benni, just like Ida also an outsider, has the turtle Henrietta as a new companion. Together they have amazing adventures ahead of them, but will they be able to fulfill the main requirement of the "Magic Pet Shop": to keep their new friends a secret from adults?

The school isn't exactly for magical animals. It's a normal school for normal children but the teacher has a brother, who can talk to certain animals (The magical animals) and gives everyone in the class one. Because the movie is about the first book of the series, there are just Rabbat and Henrietta. In the second movie (just in german) there are two others. In the next there will be probably again two and so on. Sorry for my (maybe) wierd spelling, but I'm from german and still practise

I was bummed thinking it was an actual SCHOOL for magical ANIMALS, like animals were being taken to a school to become magical or something. Regardless, already love the turtle

So this movie is like the Golden compass but kids got to a school to get their animal friend? Nice concept! A bit dissapointing that we only saw two animals. In the golden compass, we saw adults and kids with their animals. Here it's only the main characters, we'll never saw what the others kids got. That's lame 🤨😐

So it's basically Harry Potter with talking animals while the Headmaster of this supposed "magical school" has antagonistic opinions towards magic and the animals? What's the point of opening up a magical school (even though the students did not display any sort of magic. Do the students transform into animals or are the animals their Familiars or Animal Guardians?) and yet say talking animals or anything that's related to magic is a bad thing and not considered normal? Also is the fox and the turtle the only thing that's magical? Why go to that "school" when you could've just stayed at home and summon the animals with that "invisibility cloak" blanket? Once again, another Harry Potter knock off that will have poor ratings but I gotta say the animals look and sound better than Disney's live action animals

@@skyvelo_the_real_one yeah, I did my research on this movie and book as well and of course I shouldn't have jumped into conclusions that this was another Harry Potter knock off. Everytime I see movies and trailers like this they try to make it "original" with the whole kid is gifted with magical powers and goes to an off brand Hogwarts only for it to be a couple miles away from their house and it looks like a shady building with like two or four teachers (got to have the one teacher who is supposed to be a downgraded Snape from Wish)and the whole student body only consists of seven or ten kids with some weird powers and it's like "so much for a "famous" school if it's just a fifteen minute walk from home and people who shoot cheeto puff as their power😑"

In case anyone is curious, this is actually a German film that came out in 2021. They’ve dubbed over the audio in English so they can re-release it. I did some research online because I thought the audio sounded off. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Is this a non-English film that’s been dubbed? Because something about the dialogue and acting sounds really, really off.

This movie came out in 2021, and the second one came out in 2022, so you might want to change that in the title instead of saying 2023 to get more views
