That tour was when I first saw and heard these guys. I was the house soundman at the venue they played in Portland, and SVIIB weren't traveling with their own sound engineer, so I mixed them that night. One of the few bands I had never heard of before a show that I ended up liking. I'm a metal head, but these shoegaze/dream pop bands just do it for me.

Love this song. Beautiful and poignant. Please get a little reverb on that lead vocal only. Drier than the Gobi desert.

more specifically I'd say it was overlooking Washington Square park. They look to be just due south of the Empire state building, which would put them right about there.
