All I can say is to encourage your son to choose rugby cause he use to play football it will be easier for him to adjust, Rugby is huge if you are very good at it you can start earning even before you play proffessional, the European scouts are poaching young talent cause S.A is very big on rugby.

eh it depends which hey, good ones yes, and government schools and such, the poorest can’t-be-bothered schools are not… but again it depends… my older one went to the neighbourhood one and she wa getting bullied by a fellow 3-4yo and the teacher was like “be nice” and otherwise was just like 🤷🏽♀️ and the principal didn’t care either… she’s at a great private prep school now that we’re happy with.

It may not be all schools in SA but as someone who has been to both public and private schools, we are taught to have manners at all times! Whether your face is familiar or not, we will greet. And usually when you are not familiar, we ask if you need any help. That's just how we were taught.

You were taught WELL! 👍🏿 We didn't realize the lack of manners we unintentionally showed in some instances UNTIL we came to South Africa for a visit. What seems common to some is not so common to others, especially when taught differently or not taught at all. Class is still in session for us. We have a lot to learn and a lot to unlearn. You all should be very proud of what you have here! 😉

the grades system also depends on the school but it’s not that different :p and yah school just started last week so they’re not far behind, and they won’t be the only new ones even with the school having all the grades, so they’ll do great 😊 which sports&activities don’t you know why they are? I can explain (: and I can explain the House system too if you need (: but loved this and the school and house look great, so hope you all enjoy and stay safe 😊

What is sad though is, if you are Nigerian, forget difficult, unless you have a special permit, you are never migrating to some western countries cause we Africans have been deemed "undesirable". While we in Africa offer free 90 days "please visit us" visas on arrival, while our counterparts gives us a limited chance via an online visa lottery.

Monthly payments (strict for private schools cause they use that money to run the school) or annually(lumpsum at beginning if the year or quarterly) if you can afford. Public schools can be flexible as long as it's fully paid by the end of the academic year. You can also make payment arrangements with the school i.e quarterly or every 2 months or 6 months etc.

@@vuyokazimthethwa No private schools do allow monthly payments and that's the payment arrangement that most people go with .The payments are usually spread over 10 months as opposed to public schools which may allow payment over 12 months. If you pay annually at the beginning of the year most private schools will give you a 10% discount on the tuition fees.
