Honestly, there’s not much to analyze. This is a strength sport at its core. Devon has spoken those words many times himself. So, when the strength gap is too big, technique becomes irrelevant There basically is nothing Devon could do. No manoeuvre or tactic or technique would change things. Devon was outweighed by 100+lbs, and outpowered by a big margin as well. Yes, Devon was able to hold centre for a couple seconds in the first round, but only because Levan just wanted to get a feel of things, and also the first round is peak strength, so I think Levan wanted to force Devon to expend his energy by holding him. Your endurance gets crushed when you’re trying to use it against an opposing force that is way stronger than you’re used to

Yo Devon. What are your plans for your training now? Your hand, wrist, and pronation got much stronger and was still getting stronger up until the match with Levan. Will you add more direct bicep and side pressure now? We know youre going to kill it in the 105s and 115s and just end up in SHWs again for the challenge. Need that stronger arm wo go with that hand and wrist, basically the opposite of what Ermes needs. I think that back pressure style lift he does would work very well for you. Idk, just some thoughts. You kept improving and got a lot healthier, doesnt seem to be slowing yet.
