RIP Jack Sheldon, singer of Schoolhouse Rock songs like Conjunction Junction, I'm Just a Bill, and Rufus Xavier Sasparilla. Jack died on December 27th of unknown causes. Conjunction Junction was voted by fans of Schoolhouse Rock as the #1 video of the Schoolhouse Rock series.

Anyone realize how diverse the characters are in these Schoolhouse Rock videos? Like, for a program from the 70’s, it’s really cool to see how accepting people were, even back then.

Prior to the neo conservatism of the 1980s, most educational psa's had very diverse characters. Check out the food psa's done in the same style to these tons of multiracial characters

in light of the recent death of jazz musician Jack Sheldon at the ripe old age of eighty-eight, the only 'silver lining' to this sad news is that he was afforded the opportunity to celebrate one final birthday on 30 November. in addition to 'Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla' (Pronouns), the late Jack Sheldon also did other Schoolhouse Rock vignettes like 'Conjunction Junction' (Syntax) and (especially) "i'm just a Bill" (Legislative Process). it is worth noting that the late Jack Sheldon himself provided voice work for several Pepcid AC television commercials back in 1997 to the tune of 'Everybody Eats When They Come to My House' - "Everybody Eats When There's Pepcid AC."

But I bet(just like me) you know how a bill is formed. Because of the song I'm just a bill. I just think it could have went further. It was a good concept. Studies have shown people will remember a songs lyric but not math formulas . But if you put them together. So much politics that end up doing the wrong thing. At the end it was de-funded by the US appropriation committee for education. This is just another example of how we vote people into office who are so far out of touch with our issues. And bye the way. If you want more responses + or - . Upload a Avatar pic or something. I usually blow off postings with out it. But I saw your comment and stopped to answer it. cheers!
