4 Part Divisi is a great feature!

Of the composer software that I've seen, Scaler2 is the ONLY one that appears to be supported with continuous updates... this one even MORE powerful than ever! This is the BEST money you will EVER spend on nearly ANY piece of software! Thank you again, Davide, for such a powerful package and your continuous work. You must have a master plan for Scaler2... and if not, you could have fooled me! Good on ya!

I was the winner, a while ago, of the competition to offer suggestions for new features and I won a copy of Scaler 2. I can literally see that you guys took the competition seriously and are doing your best to add my suggestions, and I'm sure also suggestions from other participants too. You are always looking forward and trying to help out the music community. I'm so excited about Scaler and I'm super happy you guys are only growing. I have and always will recommend Scaler to my students who are in need of something to help with their composition. You guys are the best and I really hope other companies learn from you guys.

Thanks again for your active development of Scaler 2! It's great to see Scaler evolve and become even more useful. I often use the performances and other sequences as a springboard, export the midi capture then modify and embellish notes to how I want them in the DAW, or via the chord edit feature in scaler. 👏

Davide always present Scaler in a relaxed and educational manner, and the team has done a great job on the new features. I do think some user interface design has to change in time, as you only want dropdown menus to be that long. I am sure I will again have lots of fun using Scaler this winter.

I'm always happy when a new update comes out, all the features have more than convinced me so far! Best virtual instrument I have ever purchased! By FAR! I have had minor bugs over time but I still LOVE IT .. the continued support is very encouraging, I feel confident that the time I spend learning it won’t be wasted.

I can’t think of a more realistic string ensemble I’ve ever heard than you demonstrated. It’s partly the quality of the samples, but it’s also the smart way the MIDI approaches playback. Brilliant!

When some devs would simply rest on their laurels, Davide and the Scaler team push ever forward to ensure that this plugin, which is already in a class of its own, continually evolves into easily the best music composition tool you can lay your hands on and at a bargain price too. Great job on Scaler 2.7 and the tutorial! I can’t wait to try the 4 part divisi chords on the Swam monophonic brass and woodwinds instruments to create chordal horn section parts. If possible I would love to see this type of setup in a tutorial. Exploring from a 4 part setup for trumpet, tenor sax, trombone and bari sax to a larger big band setup. But a huge thanks to you and all the developers that make Scaler so awesome!!

So I still think Scaler is THE best when it comes to being a composition tool and with 2.7, you guys have added an excellent selection of new and useful features that really keep Scaler ahead of the competition so well done to the Scaler team especially on the Parallel Harmony Generation function! Going forward, I'd love to see the following potential items added in: 1. Function descriptors of chords relating to functional harmony (Tonic, Sub Dom and Dominant) - This would be a really useful little add-in to facilitate learners learning functional harmony by having extra visual cues especially when using an A/B style of composition. 2. Modal descriptors relating to which chords would be modal tonic chords and which would be modal cadence chords as well as highlighting the character notes of each mode. Again, it comes down to visual cues being really useful for teaching/learning. Alongside this, it's always awesome to write in different modes but would love to see visual guides on how to make a mode sound modal without it defaulting to sounding like you are in the parallel prime mode. For example, if I played a progression in E Lydian which didn't highlight the A# then the progression defaults to sounding like the tonal centre is in B Major. Obviously there are plenty of ways to "sound modal" such as lateral chord movements (VII - I - II) being one of the simpler devices but again, having visual cues in Scaler would really be an awesome addition as I can only imagine how much more skilled I would have been had I understood functional harmony and non functional harmony and I suspect the first tool that helps people to achieve this style of learning will be the tool that rules the sales rankings. 3. Other voicings - So you guys have added great voicing options for chords but there are two categories I would absolutely love to see added and that would be Quartal and Quintal voicings which are exceptionally useful voicing types for many styles but two easy ones to call out would be Jazz for Quartal voicings and Studio Ghibli for Quintal voices. This boils down to a time-saving function as currently, I either have to play the voicings or arrange the voicings manually. Would be a useful feature to just have those voicings to hand which cuts down on extra work time. As I said right at the top, Scaler remains THE best tool out there so do keep innovating and pushing for extra functions and I do hope that a little thought is given to branching out in to the tool being a learning tool as well as a time-saving, highly useful compositional tool. Over the years, I've tried different tools including some of your closest competitors and I remain firmly behind my conviction that if anyone asks me what tool they should use, I would and will always recommend Scaler as the "go-to" choice of tool.

It feels like I've been waiting 4 decades for a tool like Scaler 2 to arrive. The facility of working with chord progressions, having access to a wealth of rhythmic variations, and with Binding to make jamming chords easy; to be able to Sync and create a whole arrangement within the tool, and then being able to easily export the MIDI to your DAW; it's just revolutionary in my estimation. Could see this becoming my favorite plug-in ever. Maybe already there.

Congratulations on the old and new version of this app and Wow - lots more to come in the future. The Scaler 2 iPad app, Sonarworks, Melodyne 5 and my Cubase IC Pro app got me right. That multi-out segment got me thinking to have my hooks use that split feature with different instruments - might be exactly what I need to do.
