Dutch TV channel BNN made a documentary about Schorem Haarsnijder en Barbier, an old-school, men-only, barbershop in the heart of working class town Rotterdam in the Netherlands...

I'm a woman. But each times I watched these gentleman working, I wish I had a beard to try shave and cut in Schorem one time in my life. These Haarnijder n Barbier making the haircut and shave become more artistic and charismatic. I addicted to watch videos about them. So awesome! Great job guys!! xoxo

I'm 3 days from starting my course. About 2 months ago I found the bloody butcher on Instagram, and in researching the history of barbering today, youtube blessed me with these videos. I can already tell I'll watch this 100 times before my year is over.

I missed my calling. I went to beauty school when I was a teenager and cut hair for a few years before joining the military and on to nursing school. I wish I could have foreseen the resurgence of men's barbershops...

A place where a man can be a man, have a local barbershop where I am that only caters to men. So many women’s only salons spas gyms I’d recommend going to a good barber to any man.

Yo guys! I am 12 year old who loves the old style of music, hair, like every old thing. I want to practice 'barbering' but I don't know how. I'm from Holland though. There's coming a barber in my city Zutphen, but I want to teach it myself. There's an old antique store in Zutphen, where I found some old barber stuff. So I want to practice, but how? I hope you react!

Watched alot of the content from this channel....somehow I had convinced myself this was in the US! 😂 To my dismay, it is not! But these are quality cuts. I've had dreads for years and I just want something done, but not totally shorn. Hopefully I can find that place in the states. I'll travel anywhere to save this mane! Hahahaha

Prachtig! Ik knip m'n haar zelf omdat er bij de kapper bij vrouwen vaak iets tuttigs mee wordt gedaan, vooral met kort haar. Zelfs als je expliciet hebt gevraagd om het niet te doen, knippen ze het vaak bol, terwijl ik zelf liever gewoon met de vorm van het hoofd mee knip. Ik verdeel ik het haar eerst in stukken, dan maak ik kleine hane-kammetjes die ik dan langs de haar-kam afknip. Voor het haar op achterhoofd en nek sta ik dan met een spiegeltje (of cd) voor de badkamerspiegel zodat ik kan zien wat ik doe, anders zou het natuurlijk een zooitje worden. Ik snap best dat jullie er een mannenkapper van gemaakt hebben hoor, want er zijn al zoveel dameskappers in de wereld, maar klote voor een vrouw als ik, want hier in chickentown moet je het zelf doen. Vroeger was het ook allemaal D.I.Y. omdat niemand een rooie cent had, maar je werd er heel creatief van! Inspirerende tijd.
