Very helpful video. Thank you. To contribute I would suggest to cut them use a cheap plastic trimming knife. The type that the blade slides in and out of the handle. Extend the blade and slice through the gathered blind a bit like a bread knife. Very easy to get a perfect cut 👍

Are you talking about the gray ones or white vinyl shades with the sun peaking through? I'm tempted to get the blackout paper blinds cuz they are so cheap & you can cut them so close to the window no light comes in but do they really stop all the light is what I'm trying to figure out lol. Ikea has pretty cheap Cellular blinds but then I gotta get light gap blockers or keep my blackout curtains on each side of the window.

Great video, but to be honest these things aren’t the best. Yes they do block out any kind of light completely, but they don’t stay for long. Mine fell off the next day after putting them up. The double sided tape stayed up on the window frame, but got unstuck from the blinds itself. It’s a cost effective option but gotta find other ways to stick it up

They stick on so you need something to stick it to, could be the top of a recess like in this video, if the window is flush with the wall you could stick to the wall above the window, or even to the glass itself along the very top edge, and all the same would apply at the bottom

I thought they were the same grey paper material on both sides ..the ikea website doesn't show that I don't know what I'm going to do now I can't have that horrible shiny black on the window side it will look like a bin bag hanging from my windows from the outside Do you think I could hang them the other way round so that the grey paper side is facing out? Would I be able to hang them all the same? I'm not really bothered about the appearance of them from the inside as it's a room I don't use. ..thank you so much for this super helpful video! ..I know exactly what to expect when I order them now
