Got my dark purple Stridon two weeks ago and I am loving it. I am a fan of the single-column, verse-by-verse format for studying and preaching. It reminds me a little like the Treveris and the Stridon can pass off as a reader too. Schuyler knocks it out of the park every time. Thanks for the doing the review.

I love this Bible I bought it for the typesetting. It's really just a smidge thicker than the Quentel. The typesetting is just perfect for me. I hope they make it in the NKJV but I have been enjoying the NASB.

I LOVE the idea of the stridon but honestly I think This Bible is just too big. Was hoping for something between the treveris and the clarion. I really think Schuyler needs to consider doing a verse by verse but two-column setting. It would bring the size down tremendously AND it would decrease all that ghosting. I don’t really see the benefit in a single column when something is verse by verse. You’re not preserving paragraph formats or making it “read like a novel” so I just don’t really get this one. Thank you SO much for doing this. Helped me to see I need to pass on this one. And yes green with the brown line is fabulous! Reminds me of being in nature :)

I’m not a verse by verse person and won’t be buying this but I am VERY impressed with how Schuyler typeset this Bible (as well as the general workmanship). The contrast between poetic and prose settings in Isaiah 30 around 7:24 is brilliantly executed. If I needed a vbv Bible, the Stridon would be it!

Man, my Quentel NASB came today in the full yapp slate goatskin. Kinda wish I’d purchased the Stridon. lol. I like the 11 font of the Quentel. I was just looking at the PDF comparing the font. I can only tell a small difference. May have to grab the Stridon in the ESV! The Quentel is my first premium Bible. I have to say I absolutely love it!

Because of this great review and your excitement over this Bible, I ordered it in the Marbled Mahogany Calfskin today. I'm so excited!! Thanks, Tim, for all you do to help us decide. 💕

I have the quentel in the regular size and personellste size. I also just received the striden also. The quentel has a larger font size than the striden. I like the layout of the striden better with the chapter and verse numbers being in red. Now the need to make a personal size in the striden.

Great review, as always, Tim! A friend of mine has this Bible and I took a look at it and found the show-through to be a bit distracting and unsightly. I understand that Schuyler went to 28 gsm to slim down their Bibles, but I honestly wish they would have gone with at least a 32 gsm, especially for type settings like the Stridon. But that is just my opinion.

I really like the Stridon format and think Schuyler has hit a niche that will be very successful. Got my copy in Slate and it is super nice! Great review as always Tim!

They need to bring back the dang thinline. It was literally the perfect size.

This Bible is sooo close to being exactly what I want, but alas the wait continues. I love a single column reference Bible, but I wish the typeset was slightly smaller (to slim down), the paper was slightly thicker, and the margin was twice as wide. The ESV journaling Bible is the best I’ve found for my preferences but it’s far from a premium Bible. Really hoping to see something like it from Allan, Schuyler, or Cambridge one day

Great review Tim. I really love the concept, and would like to see it in a KJV. The show through looks awful though. I have several Bibles with this expensive 28gsm paper, and to be honest, I'm not sure I want to buy another as I struggle with the show through, and these are too expensive for me if my reading experience is spoilt by this issue. I recently bought a 1957 Collins KJV from a charity shop and it has no show through. How come with all the expensive paper in today's high end Bibles they can't achieve the same as something that's over 60 years old?

Thanks, Tim. I find that there is too little white space on the Stridon pages for my old eyes. I would prefer a smaller margin and more leading between the sentences. So I think I'll stick with the Cambridge Clarion as it is much easier to read. What I'd really like to see is a vbv Cambridge Topaz in the NASB2020.

THANK YOU JESUS! Even though I’m still struggling to put groceries in the refrigerator. I STILL TRUST YOU LORD! Faith is trusting in God durning hard times. Faith is what is getting me through my hard situation. I’m still struggling to providing for my two autistic children since losing my job over declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health condition (Lupus) and Heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth Hospital. My husband passed away three years ago, so I’m all alone. Both of my sons are non verbal so things are more hard on me. Every month I don’t know how we are going to make it through. Every month is a struggle, a battle to not end up on the streets. I’m so depressed and embarrassed by my situation. I’ve been put down and mocked over my circumstances. I’m so ashamed and overwhelmed. BUT because of my faith God shows up every month and provides. He has even sent strangers to help me, thank you Father. Even as I face homelessness with two young children seemingly every month! I know that God will provide abundantly. Thank you Jesus. I BELIEVE!

Hey bro. Do you prefer the Stridon or Quentel and why? I haven’t ever bought a Schuyler but I’m trying to decide if I want a NASB Stridon or a Quentel NLT.

Curious…today I emailed Evangelical Bible to let them know about a printing error I found in my Stridon. On pg 1702, top left chapter header it says, Philippians 5…there is no Phil. 5. 🥴 Does yours say that?

Tim, could you put in a word with Schuyler for them to use ESV red letter from time to time? Us red letter folk are pining for a quality ESV with red lettering.

Attention Schuyler buyers. I bought a new Stridon NASB and was surprised to discover that tens of pages had unaligned, garbled and unreadable references at the bottom of the pages. I contacted Evangelical and this is the reply I got from them: We're sorry to hear that your new Stridon did not meet your expectations! It's not entirely unusual for red print to be misaligned from the black print even in a premium Bible, as these parts of the pages are printed at different times. Publishers do not consider this issue to be a printing defect unless the text overlaps and becomes unreadable. If you have pages that look like this, please send us some photos for review. We apologize for any inconvenience. Beware and check before you buy the Stridon.

I was hoping at some point someone would create a reader NASB 95 and 2020. Do you know if anyone is planning on creating a reader's bible for the NASB? It would be so fun if someone broke out with a sunshine yellow or even a bright orange bible, It would be fun to have brightly colored leather bibles, bright colors are my favorites. 😍

The one serious flaw is that the poetry texts are not formatted as poetry.
