Evangelicalbible just announced ESV stridon for 2023

If they had it in the 1995 nasb then that would be cool. Good review

I really hope they make a NKJV version of the Stridon. That would be my dream Bible! I also love that you were able to get your hands on one early so we could all see it. I also really love to see the great community of Bible reviewers already commenting on this as well!

Thanks for another brilliant Bible review Randy. You have a lot of great comments; noticing and comparing details. One of the BEST elements of your reviews is that you COMPARE to similar Bibles. It is super helpful when you physically compare Bibles as it is their physical nature that we are personally drawn to. We at least want to see (and compare sizes with other Bibles) if we aren’t able to hold them. Thank you as you always do this so well in your reviews.

I love this layout. Verse by verse with poetic setting and letters still looking like letters. I think this is one of the best layouts I've seen. I love how they did the references and footnotes separate. You must be able to differentiate them, something I wished Thomas Nelson would do with the NKJV. This is what I had hoped Crossway would have done with their preaching Bible, single column, verse by verse with poetic settings and a different colour for the chapter and verse numbers in an all black letter text. Lovely Bible layout. One thing I'd change in this Bible though and that would be to have each book of the Bible starting on a new page instead of continuing on the same page where the previous one ended.

I’m in agreement with you regarding the KJV version. It would be my perfect Bible. Although, and I know it would increase the thickness, I’d be happy if they’d use 45gsm paper. I have both the Clarion and Treveris with the 28gsm paper and I find the show through in places quite off putting

This will be my first Schuyler Bible. I am over the moon thrilled to have the Stridon on order. I keep watching this video because I am so excited to receive mine. 🙂Great video!!

I'm not a single column person. The only exception would be a larger print with references in the outer margins and footnotes neatly placed at the page bottom. I also prefer thicker paper because I am a note taker. Schuyler nailed that green though. It's nice and quiet, and the complement of the shiny ribbons makes for an attractive Bible. :)

Thank you so much for this review. I was taking a look at the specific model in this color and I was contemplating if to get another Skyler besides the Thinline NASB I have.

I wish they'd ditch the wide margins and use 11-pt font like the Quentel. It looks like they couldn't decide whether to make a wide margin or not but the margins use up too much real estate. It's a big Bible. I like white space too. I don't like "walls of text." I also wish it were the NASB95 instead of the 2020. I enjoy your reviews and you're becoming my favorite reviewer!

Just a heads up in case you didn’t know but I’m sure you already do. The STRIDON will be released in an ESV 2023!!! 🙌🏻

I cannot for the life of me understand how any modern designed bible, especially one this beautiful, was designed having books start on the same page as the end of the prior book!! How on earth did they not start new books on new pages???

That is an amazing bible! Can’t wait to see it in some other translations.

Hi Randy, Schuyler appears to have copied the Legacy Standard Bible design regarding format, but have got references which my LSB Shamar goatskin does not have, which does not bother me because my other bibles do so am not short of reference material. I prefer my LSB to this Stridon for the main reason that LSB is compatible by size to the Treveris, which I have and love in KJV, which makes the LSB much lighter for me to hold to read than my Quentel which is what this Striden is compatile with by size. The other difference between LSB and Stridon is 9pt v's 10pt type respectively. I'm sure many people will love the Stridon who have not got the LSB. That’s pretty nice but what’s the price tag? I just got a Niv thinline black goatskin with silver art gild and 3 3/8 blue ribbons for 80$. I also want to say the leather on mine is the most pebbled cover I’ve ever held. They must have been listening to your review on it. It’s the best Bible I’ve had in years. I’ve been a Christian for almost 30 years. I was shocked at the quality of the Bible for the price. Made in China or not. Best looking Bible made… Sleek,classy and practical… As well as best bang for your buck easily.

The design is perfect! I have heard from Evangelical Bible that they do plan to do more translations (YAY!) but the NASB77 is not going to be published. I have heard that Lockman is going to release bibles with this say typesetting so hopefully they will do the 95.

I would love to see the Stridon to the Zondervan SCR and the Lockman SCR.

I love the single collum verve by verve. The NASB is what I’m using. I’m attending Corban university and that’s the layout I use. Never could afford a Bible like that but would love to own one one day. How much do one of those cost brother.

I contacted Evangelical and this is the reply I got from them: We're sorry to hear that your new Stridon did not meet your expectations! It's not entirely unusual for red print to be misaligned from the black print even in a premium Bible, as these parts of the pages are printed at different times. Publishers do not consider this issue to be a printing defect unless the text overlaps and becomes unreadable. If you have pages that look like this, please send us some photos for review. We apologize for any inconvenience. Beware and check before you buy the Stridon.

Really unfortunate they don't have this in the 95 text.

I don’t think I may get a Schuyler due to the 28GSM I need at least 36 GSM for a bible like this and so I wouldn’t be afraid to highlight so much I almost highlight full pages like 1 John Ephesians and Romans etc 28GSM is not good for that especially with on top of that I underline everything I highlight as well as write in the margins so 28GSM really wont work. (Do you know any other NASB95 Bible of this quality like Schuyler with a higher GSM?)

Excellent review. I’d really like to see this design in other translations. I do not understand why they don’t put lined paper in the back when they already have in in the personal size Bibles. 🤦🏻‍♂️

This would be absolutely perfect if it were full paragraph as opposed to verse-by-verse.
