Thanks Tim for the honest review and appreciate your perspective. I have two Schuyler Tuscany Calfskin Bibles - ESV Treveris and Quentel. What I like about this particular leather is how it ages with use. Both of my versions have aged darker and are becoming more supple with use. I've even exposed them to the sun (through direct window light) which helps darken the leather. What I like most about this particular type of calfskin leather is the texture. It's not too slick (like the other current calfskins from Schuyler) which provides a better grip (probably due to the lack of coating on the top layer). I hear that Schuyler is coming out with other colors later in the year using Aniline calfskin. It's a great time to be a Bible Nerd!

I didn't think I would like it but I love the way it ages. I have an ESV I have used like crazy and love patina.

Just received my Schuyler NIV in Tuscany leather (not full yap),since I needed a break from all my black and brown colored Bibles. I love it!

I have a Canterbury KJV Tuscany calfskin, I didn’t go full yapp for the reason you mentioned. I love it but I don’t. I find myself handling it like it’s going to break at any moment. It’s a Bible I am not comfortable reading all the time for that reason. (But I still would purchase it again. It’s just so good looking).

agree 100% on the Full Yapp being "off center" they definitely need to move it to be centered in the tool line. I wouldn't buy one for that reason, it bothers me too much...

The analine whatever is supposed to age crazy, sounds amazing but I'm too OCD to try it (yet). I just got a desert camel and it's just the right distressed look when NIB. They're all good.

A little off topic, but what is up with the fox "orange" humble lamb? In all the emails I got from humble lamb and on their website, the fox orange is without a doubt a blaze orange matching the orange ribbons. But on all your videos, it looks like their earlier yellow color waves. And I don't think it's a trick of the camera, because the ribbons look orange in your videos: it's just the cover that looks yellow. If you ever got a yellow humble lamb, I'd like to see the old yellow next to this fox orange.

What are your thoughts on breaking in a Bible? Do you have a process or simply start reading it sir?

Why the recent attraction to covers that make a Bible look like it’s been used more than it has?!?

The Tuscany is better in person....once you touch it a couple of times you wont be able to put it down
