If I were the main actor, I wouldn't be walking out in the open like he was. There was one scene that reminded me of The Lord of the Rings, where the Wraith was standing above the hobbits who were hiding under a piece of ground jutting out. The big bad lad with the mask was like a wraith in the Lord of the Rings in his movements and the clinging of his armour. But also sounded a bit like Dark Vader the way he spoke and breathed. Maybe those lads with the masks were the humans??? Why else need the masks?

Pro tip. If you need to operate on your shoulder, it's a little bit easier if you take your big, thick leather jacket off first. It's even better to take all your layers of clothing off, in the areas you wanna cut. Like, down to the skin. This would not only make the cutting part easier, but also the seeing what the heck you're doing part. No really, trust me.

Good beginning. Great middle, unfinished ending. The kid was not bleeding. I thought I saw some wires. He was cutting his jacket instead of doing a minor autopsy of the kid. If I was AI and wanted to trick humans I'd make robot kids. Unless that was a lazer gun and cauterized the wound while making it. And what was he digging for in his coat? Why not remove the coat first, it's cold. I hate bad endings or worse unfinished stories. It's like so much thought went into writing them, and somewhere along the line they couldn't figure out how to end it so they just let it jump off a cliff. Call it good. I watched another that never really ended right. With a conclusion of some kind.
@prk55

The way I understood it was that he thought the child was a human/agent hybrid. (The eyes always told him that it was an agent but this bled a little) He then thought back to how he’d bled a little and thought he might also be a ‘hybrid’ or I suppose a new type of agent. By cutting himself he would prove that.
@gabrial3377
@gabrial3377 Жыл бұрын
But he wasn't cutting himself, he was cutting his coat. Why not just go for the wrist. He got shot and was bleeding all over the place because that robot agent standing over the rock he was hiding under wouldn't have found a big blob and say human, find him.

As I pointed out to a couple of people who shared the same concern; Survival Tips 101 will tell you that one of the key components to surviving is to stay clean. They have water to clean their clothes and wash, so what you're doing is buying into the many awful B movies out there that portray all survivors as being dirty. When you don't pay attention to hygiene, breeds germs and bacteria, people die. Although, I kind of agree with the hair. In a real situation, she'd likely keep her hair short.
@ICU1337
@ICU1337 Жыл бұрын
@@maez4718 Survival 101 out in the current day "nature" is one thing. Survival 101 in post apocalyptic future while being hunted by Synths is another. Also it didnt look like they were in a warm climate from what they were wearing, which was again, way too clean, and they were in the ruins of a city. Not sure how much clean water they have there to take consistent baths in and wash their clothing and again, as you conceded, her hair. Which was _fabulous_ fyi 😉
@maez4718
@maez4718 Жыл бұрын
@@ICU1337 There are ways to maintain cleanliness and hygiene without water. Nature, meaning..natural products. Even in an apocalyptic future within the ruins of a city. For example, if there is sand available, you use that. A body with grime on it does build up a coating of natural anti bacterial oils that help keep out the germs, but to look "perty", you can strip bark from cedar and that is very anti bacterial, use evergreens (most cities have parks etc). People can use animal fat and wood ash to make soap. Combing out hair daily will remove dust, dander and loose hair. It massages and stimulates the scalp to keep the blood flow going and that keeps the hair healthy. Rubbing leaves, crumbly moss, stones and newspaper, various plants will help keep clothing and body clean. I grew up on a forested and mountainous island and when a teen, my friends and I would have fun experimenting on edible plants and stuff like this. Our property, like many, backed onto big forested areas. Lots of people got lost in the northern rainforests and in the many little valleys when hiking (which is a major pastime there), so it was neat for us to do that. Kept us out of mischief :)

I thought that this was well done, with a couple of exceptions: • "It's the eyes that give it away." (That and the black masks they wear. I would get rid of the masks if I wanted to make them look more human) • Your dead humans are *far* too pink to be dead. If they were more ash-grey, they would definitely look more like *dead* humans. The actors were outstanding! I thought that the man who played Max was very convincing.

He could have identified so much as human that he got lost in it, believing vhe was in fact human, or he was a hybrid and had forgotten his life after getting robotics installed. But thats just my take on it.. that would explain his duality of being a gemini. He knew that child he killed was not totally human. It was in the eyes.

Well made, but so many questions... 1. How do humans survive? Not seeing a lot of animals, or even plants, though there are a few trees here and there in the beginning. Still, don't even seem hungry? 2. With food being hard to find even, how do they keep so clean? 3. What's with the electronic compass? If you are worried about being killed by machines, maybe unsafe to use something that clearly has electronics in it and could act as a gps? 4. Why didn't he pick up the rifle after him and the girl stopped fighting? 5. Why are the machines hunting humans at this point? They can't possibly be a threat anymore? 6. Why are humans ok with breathing but the bad guy wears a breathing mask? 7. So is the main character a hybrid too? Is that why it ended abruptly? He doesn't see any point in going on anymore?? What does it matter if he is a human, hybrid or machine if he has the will to survive?

There's a worrying trend to dust movies involving ai where I go, "Yeah, I can see that happening any day now"

As I pointed out to someone else how had the same concern; Survival Tips 101 will tell you that one of the key components to surviving is to stay clean. They have water to clean their clothes and wash, so what you're doing is buying into the many awful B movies out there that portray all survivors as being dirty. When you don't pay attention to hygiene, breeds germs and bacteria, people die.

This was very good. I loved the shot of the main character standing in the doorway of the house with the orange sky behind him and darkness all around. The background scenery of the devastated cities were great too. The sound when the main bad guy was hit with the laser was not good though. It sounded like me hitting a can with a rock. Cool plot and I liked the ending.

I think that he was hit in the armour, which is why he was still standing even after that shot. Which explains why main char didn't try another shot from point blank range.

great cinematography and sound. casting and acting and directing too. and SPFX. remarkably good sets and settings, props and costumes considering what must have been tight budget. good writing too, though annoying nobody ever explains what the heck a 'hybrid" would be, how would that happen, and what does it mean to the characters? if that were done, the ending likely more meaningful and satisfying.

The compass is actually a novelty item from before the incident. It's a compass to show you the closest Tesla dealer. Everybody got them in their new Tesla, LMFAO. He does this entire journey and ends up at a store. The End......
