As a retired carpenter, I can't help but notice the cabinets to the left in this video badly need their doors adjusted. A few minutes of screwdriver therapy would help straighten their hinges. 😀 You two don't need to drink the screwdrivers, just use one to straighten the doors.

A couple of these exercises and I am now able to stand up without the sharp pain and I'm finally able to perform simple daily activities. Thank you

These vids have saved my life, the psychological burden of chronic back pain is just as bad as the pain itself. The 'road kill posture' and the press ups together with the wall leaning exercise always solve my problems.

I had excruciating pain last year. I mean i could literally not lie down, sit for a meal, tie my shoes, etc. If I sneezed or coughed, I had to deal with even more pain. Medicine they were giving me would make me constipated and I couldnt sit in the bathroom. It was pure HELL! I begged the doctors for pain killers which would help , but you know today's world is about control and anyone that asks is a junkie. Physical therapy helped but not back then. Nothing could touch the damage it was doing. Heat helped a little. I would sit in a dry sauna at 180 degrees for 20minutes here and there. Presently, I still get flare ups 1 year later and rarely does it bother me too much. It just lets me know it's there. I guess that's mild. I'll take that over last years Hell anyday. Whatever you do, try to stay active. Being inactive makes it worse. I had no choice last year. Hopefully I won't need surgery. I take care of myself. Iwas going to the gym before covid. Im 165 pounds male. I would definitely recommend PT to anyone. Hope this helps.

My bed and mattress is just over 9 years old. I noticed some real rough lower back pain/tightness one morning and went to the chiropractor and it got better after a couple of days to going away completely a week later. Now it went from that to sciatica on the right side. If Im up and moving around, going to work everyday it's not so bad. But on weekends or if I'm not working and laying around being lazy it comes back.

Thank you for the videos, they are very informative. I’m a 58 year old bodybuilder and in just the last couple days have developed some sciatica. I’m not sure how, but I don’t even think it was in the gym. I lift very heavy weights under control and in a h.i.t. Fashion. So for example I am doing one arm rows @ 220lbs for 10 reps then a drop set to 180lbs. and I weigh 150lbs. It is like that on all my movements, just heavy yet in control. Anyway, on the inversion table. I’ve fantasized about using one over the years. But, having glaucoma I have heard that hanging upside down can increase ones interocullar pressure significantly. Just wondering what you gentlemen have to say on this subject? Thank you

Hello Bob and Brad! I love your content and it has been really helpful . I was hoping you guys could help me with my situation. So I've had a microdiscectomy done a couple of years back. The situation was bad at that time to the point where I was losing the sensitivity in my left leg rapidly. I could barely turn myself on the bed. Anyway, I recovered and I've completed school and I've just started working.I'm in my mid 20s now. So I was doing good, till just a month back when I decided to take up cycling. I must have done something wrong 'cause the very next day I couldn't walk, sit or do anything. I've improved now and I'm feeling much better but I've been experiencing sciatica down the left side of my body and there's a feeling of muscles being stretched along my ankles. I could really use your advice. Thank You! ( Sorry about the above essay😸)

Press ups helped me big time 5 years ago, now the dam Sciatica devil is back out of the blue, I was literally pain free for five years or so. Believe it or not it took me about three days of press ups to fix the problem, it was literally like magic. Now I'm doing the press ups with a little pain that I can take, sometimes I can go all the way up sometimes not, I used to have pain in my right leg calf it's now almost gone completely, the terrible sharp pain is now on my upper but close to the spine, Walking is very soothing, sitting much less. Watching this video for few times already is giving hope that I'm on the right track....Thanks

The on belly press up is also called cobra in yoga. There are hundreds of vid and pictures. I found fairly stiff couch cushions is a way to extend time without wearing out arms and as things calmed I got to watched TV 10-30 minutes. Hip flexor / lower ab pulling me forward was MY problem. YMMV. HIPS still on floor. Standing back extensions are much easier to get back to calm down. You back should relax and lean back farther as you do 10. OBVIOUSLY don't do if balance is an issue. Centralizing sciatica pain is teh goal. Lets say at ankle .. moves up to calf is big progress.

Hello Bob, Brad, Please mention the hip-rotate exercise I posted. It relieves tremendous/pain tightness in your butt/glut. If your butt/leg pain is on your right. Sit on the edge of a pillow so there is less pressure on your pain location. Sit up straight and then press hard against the resting foot area on the floor with your left foot. Your hip will rotate and ease soooo much pain!

What, if any, connection might there be in symptoms of the sciatica (glut/piriformis down to knee) *and* a pinch in the front of the hip (on the diagonal, I assume either the iliacus and/or psoas)? Noticed when bending/touching the floor. Other ranges of motion are fine, MRI shows no impingement.

hi Bob and Brad, I have a mild compression on thecal sac in L5 S1 disc which I hurt while doing squat at gym, my left lower back is painful and left leg has pain and uneasy feeling. I have started doing the exercises suggested by you on youtube and started feeling some relief. All I would like to know is, -is this pain permanent? -Will I be able to play sports again. Can this disc bulge get reverse? Thanks

When doing the exercises you showed I'm not sure if it was you guys but I saw exercises that said from dr.ho and it was the McKenzie method while if I did those exercises just like they show will this sciatica improve I've had it almost 4 months now it's very annoying and it hurts so bad I've been doing the exercises I think there's seven of them do you have to do them in a row just like the video or can you mix that exercises up

Are any of these not recommended for sciatica depending on the cause of sciatica?

Not sure if these guys respond but I have a pretty unique situation. I have a fused lower back (L3-L5) from a young age and possibly even birth. I have been to a couple of spine specialists and chiropractors and none of them have seen this before. Some weeks I have no pain others I have excruciating pain and doctors usually just say, "Yeah I'm not surprised you don't have more pain to be honest." I'm lost on what I should do. I am 30 years old and I teach tennis for a living, so I am constantly on my feet. I have sciatica in my right hamstring going up to my right butt cheek and into my lower back sometimes. I do all these stretches and work out 6 days a week. I'm wondering if I should quit the working out and solely stretch and do calisthenics. Any help will be very appreciated.

The problem I am having is that I get this pain in my right heel . And then from there my leg And my butt hurt . Sometimes waking to much tigggers it. And when I do lots of walking I lean on my baby's stroller and it helps . I tried icing it and it does not go away . When I wake up in the morning I feel fine no pain but when I start walking I get the pain 1st in my heel .

I believe I have a sciatica issue, but I've been going to a chiropractor. Would you guys suggest going to a PE instead? My legs gave out on me while leaning over and the chiropractor helped.

PT made me worse. Maybe i just had shitty PT's. They didn't even want to see my MRI's or X-Rays. They just give everyone the same cookie-cutter exercises. Now I'm wondering if I should try a chiro but my doctor won't refer me.

Hi Dario Yes I healed BUT: I called an online doctor and at the same time ordered 8535 extra strength from Amazon so I took the muscle relaxer and pain killer and also put a 535 on my leg and on my back that night it was like fire red spots I don't know what the hell it wasThe spots have faded finally but there is 5 inches of numbness on my left leg at least it's better than it was before so never use 8535 with medication A535 typo
