My parents had pierced both my ears when I was 7 months old. When I turned 6 years they removed my rings. But in October I've again pierced the ears and started wearing rings again

Karnvedh Sanskar Vedas have defined the way of living for each individual in a very scientific and well defined manner. Sanskars are one of the means to reach this goal. An individual right from his birth till the death has to perform these 16 Sanskars or Stages. The literal meaning of the word “Sanskar” means cleansing the bad things out from someone and preparing him for the next phase in life. The Sanskars are performed for the Mental, physical, behavioral, and spiritual balance and progress of an individual. These ceremonies are vital for a human being to change his mind and means as well as fresh challenges. Karnvedh Sanskar is the ritual of having the ear pierced. Karnvedh Sanskar is performed so that child may listen to good things and to have a good education. The child’s ear lobes are pierced either on the 12th or 16th day; or 6th, 7th or 8th month; or 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th or 9th year. Panchpeeth puja is done followed by yagya for Lord Vishnu. Donate money in the name of ancestors. Goldsmith is called for the piercing of the child’s ear and all the ladies of the family sings holy songs for the welfare of the child. After the Karnvedh Sanskar ceremony the child is taken to the temple for worshipping and donate food and money there.

What Castesicm mate. Caste system is a misinterpretation by the Europeans of the actual word Varna of which there is no equivalent. Varna is by ones work and not by birth bro. As for the piercing material used it could be due to ones level of conciousness and the different effects of different materials on individuals of differing proffessions. I am not an expert in this field but just gave my thought. If you are thinking its just to discriminate and hold one more superior than note GOLD WAS SAID TO BE FOR THE KSHATRIYAS. THE 2ND GROUP AND NOT THE BRAHMIN CLASS IF THATS WHERE YOU WERE DRIVING TO. ALL ANCIENT RITUALS THAT HAVE BEEN SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN HAD PROVEN ITS CLAIMS SO FAR AND THE LACK OF OUR KNOWLEDGE IN THIS SHOULDNT BE A REASON TO IMPLY DISCRIMINATION.

We also had rituals like sati burning and widow marriage which was illegal in Hinduism Pioneers like Raja Rammohan Roy, Ishwar Chandra and others have fought their lives to eradicate this heinous crimes done by our ancestors. So we can't defy these things. Castism is yet another awful deed in many ways. So don't just blindly debate.

I aint a blind follower either and take the Vedas as the highest authority for that matter. You are here telling me of castecism which is an awful thing is correct BUT I'D RATHER YOU GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT. The scriptures class people based on ones work and is known as Varna vyavastha. What you are talking of is the CASTE SYSTEM WHERE ONES CLASS IS DETERMINED FROM BIRTH. It is a lie made by the Westerners and propagated by fools that didnt know what the books really say. When the books are clear that Varna is due to ones work then whose fault is it if fools believe what the westerners told them to create division. Dont mix man made beliefs with what the books really say and claim the man made beliefs and pakhands are from the book. The Sati pratha too was started by fools believing in the Puranas that aint scriptures but a book of history corrupted with lies, mythology and unscientific claims.
