He clearly is able to put into words that your the Infinate awareness which created contiousness and the visible world as you know it. It's deeper than you might even consider, yet it's the truth and this can be experienced and known only within you. This source we call God is one and the same with all that is. It's hard to speak about because that source isn't anything in essence. It's no thing becoming something. Yet it's one with all things but not affected by them cause it knows no death. In other words death is an illusion and so is the world and universe. You must investigate this for your self is what is being suggested. No one can teach it to you they can only point it out. If by grace your able to see it then it can free you from the limited thought that your a person. Your not! Your much greater than you can imagine. This has nothing to do with ego or identity of any sort in fact it's the death of identity and the person as well. Hope I was able to help you. It's a bit difficult to try to explain this mystery. The truth is that awareness or emptiness isn't empty it's full but can't be named nor expressed with words. It's fullness has no need or lack of any sort, their is no separation it pure love and oneness. It needs no reason for it's beingness. It just is what it is pure aliveness. The mind which was created by it only can percive and understand forms and concepts. It can't never know the formless because the formless is empty of content. It is pure knowing with out concepts. It's impossible for something to know it. It can only be experienced by it's own direct source. Mind is a construct of awareness it has no reality outside of it, but the mind function is specific to the created universe and world. It can be said that awareness which is essentially you, me and every living thing is all one. Yet awareness for no reason has created the ability to express it's greatness and all possibilities infinately. In truth what is being brought to light is that their is no death only the illusion of death. Life is all their is in truth, yet the dichotomy is that nothing ever happened no one was ever born and no one ever died. It is all apparently an experience but not the truth. The truth can't be known because it's unknowable. Their was never a beginning nor an ending. No thing can know God because he isn't anything. Only itself can be experienced. It's a mind f*#k for the mind only. The awareness in you! That is source. That is you as well. When you realize this and it is seen through then the veil is lifted and it free you from it's illusion of world. Like Jesus said the truth that surpasses all understanding. This truth swallows up death cause in truth death isn't real. It's a sort of experience so ironically the world we call life is death, because nothing last imperminace and all things seem separate yet are not. The illusion of separation created by mind causes suffering. In truth separation is false yet it must be seen thru so that realization and liberation can manifest itself into your life. @@emind0881 That is quite a concept. If all of it is unknowable, why the effort to try to explain anything. Is there any value in trying to understand something that cannot be understood? What is the point in all of this? Would it not make more sense to work with a concept that can be known and used to our benefit?

Awakening to Oneness is love itself and the realization that there is only One of us. It is not possible to love any one form more or less if one is fully awakened. It's all love. Life in form is the paradox that requires us to make a living and what better way to make a living than to spread love. Best wishes.

Just my opinion but you will never meet anyone that is enlightened Most relationships are ego based(thinking based and on that level) Youll just come off weird in the normal ego social realm(which is a fiction, but thats how the world works)

It's fine. You just have it wrong. "Modern gurus" might have had peaceful lives prior to waking up, or they might have suffered plenty. Either way, someone who is aware of the truth that what a human being really is, deep down, is the awareness of all that is happening at this current moment, then you are also someone who understands that everything that you believe is "my life" is actually just your brain's memory system that has established a belief of who you are based on past experiences and what people have told you. What you REALLY are is the thing behind it all...the screen of your eyes, the thing that receives hearing, the thing that feels touch, etc. A moden guru's family might die in a plane crash, leaving him all alone. He certainly might turn to the bottle if his external circumstances force him to (you can't even control your thoughts...no one realizes that). But it is more likely for a guru to understand that his family members will find life once again in another form, just as we did in this one, and might be able to handle the tragedy with more grace and understanding.

To realise that we are not a separate self. The Body/mind is a activity of consciousness, a concentration of awareness. When you are not happy, not happy then you seek this happiness that is who you are, yet veiled by the conditioning we are born into. We are happy covered over by our human conditioning. It takes courage to give up the separate self, yet it's not giving up a personality, but being with our True self. Rupert is a teacher you can trust, he will guide you through back to you. ( I read ACIM as well, this helps to be free from my mind and body.) In summary, we are not separate yet our body can be a communicator to get back to our True home, true in happy at home in God. We are the prodigal Son, gone for awhile to realize that we are still home, but dreaming we are on this earth, stuck and unhappy. Inner peace is your true Nature.

Words can never capture or fully explain awareness. It is not of time and space. That there are contradictions when discussing it using different words is hardly surprising.

Awareness doesn't need the mind to itself but it needs a mind to know the world. That's what he's talking about.

Yes, the commercialization of Non-Duality does seem rather incongruous.

But, I must say, I'm SO GLAD he's doing what he's doing. It is very helpful for me and many others. I just wish some fat cat would fund him, so he could do it all for free.

+Brad Stephan A guy with one eye always appear to be the king amongst the blind. All his teachings are just conceptual. If he had even an iota of true realization, he life would have exploded into wealth and he wouldn't need to resort to such ugly ways of making money. And even if he didn't, that's the last thing you'd expect an enlightened being to do.
