Mike Stewart is the man. I met him one evening at hapuna on big island. Super nice, super humble, almost super normal down to earth guy. Would love to bodyboard with him one of these days. Millers surf shop is loaded with all the best bodyboard stuff too. Bought 3 boards from that guy over the years.

After 35 years of body boarding and haven't even been in the surf after 10 years, I still get stoked when I see you still so passionate Mike! My name's Troy Cote and lived down the street from you in Huntington Beach. You had a place on Beach and Adams back then where my friend lived.I laugh now, but you were my hero when I was a kid! So cool to see you putting the kids to the test. I'm 6 ft 250 and you need to make a 19 23 wide in 44. One wave that always stands out to me was on the North side of Huntington . I was going left and you crushed the section going right on an air reversal. I think you rode your beach cruiser there. Best times of my life!! Make a wider board for us heavier guys. Even the Thunder seems narrow for 46 inches. GOAT!

Better yet would be if he did custom boards like 2B's does. I live the flex properties of Science boards, I just prefer strictly prone shapes similar to the old BZ Ben T10. With wide nose over 13 inches, widepoint up closer to the nose, narrower tail with a full crescent not a swalliw tail or gullwing, with perfect channels, one stringer, polypropylene, with 2 layer mesh under the deck skin and bottom skin. No need the elbow grooves/contoured deck but just subtle nose bulbs and the concave just along underneath the nose for grip. 60/40 rails. 42.5 inches long. Not to thin, not to thick.

@@anthonygato407 My favorite boards were the larger Pro Max boards I could find. I'm talking late 80s early 90s. The T 10s were the same shape. I grew up in Huntington Beach. They were a little longer to at 44 inches but gave you the speed to get through the reform waves to the inside. Showing my age! Lol

This year I transitioned from surfing to bodyboarding due to health issues. Absolutely stoked to be back in . I have the vipers for winter for use with boots . May have to get a pair for summer too, more power than my dafin

Wow, I'm impressed with the bodyboard and accessories selection in that small shop! Most surf shops these days have a tiny selection of boards and accessories.

Aloha Mike, Thanks for all you do!! Do you use fin socks with your fins? I always get mean blisters with your MS Vipers.... I usually just put duct tape over my toes where I get the blisters but wonder what you do. Mahalo!!

Can you give us some specs on the leashes? Looking for a bicep leash. Sizes?

Can you elaborate on how to choose the right size board?
@jperez10835 жыл бұрын
Launch spec or style for warmer water rarely ever gets bigger than chest and the waves here don’t push very hard at all. Ride prone.
