Listen your videos are great and I really like them all but it's kinda no longer about learning the simple stuff and basic knowledge anymore ...... for example that paper 1 physics just days ago was just ridiculous .... about 45% of the whole paper was unclear , weird and hard core mechanics and mathematics ...... if I would have had not revised and instead would have done M1 and M2 modules in math I would have done better !!! Like I underestand that it's new syllabus and it is suppose to be hard and different from before but .... that was just way too difficult ! But I really appreciate your videos ... thank you very much .

+Nima the leagend Nimatheleagend Sorry to hear that mate. Unfortunately physics exams not only require you to understand concepts, but apply your understanding to unseen situations. The only way you get better at that is by practising questions. I do plan to go through past papers once there are more available. As a teacher, I have access to AQA's exampro which has hundreds of questions that I give to my students. You could always ask your teacher to do the same.

In the first line should it be n = n, hence pv/t = pv/t since the number of moles in each vessel is the same. I find students find this approach easier to understand especially when you start mixing two gases together. So this then becomes n= n1 + n2 for the mixture of gases...

@@teatime9198 Wow this was me 2 yrs ago? 😂 Went to uni, the usual route. Got into electronics engineering (Math+Physics degree was too exp). 2yrs passed and started to love smth else instead, coding. (So yea, there's some procrastination with sch now) PS: I've lost interest in electronics As for coding, I found a "business partner" in the same uni and we're on to making a social media app. In the short term, making some money tutoring IGCSE and A levels (what else to do?). Yea, probably will use this to fund my startup (social media app) if all goes to plan. So yea, life progresses and not much has, or I think could've been done in the past 2yrs seeing the situation outside. Stay safe! All I want to say to u is go for what u like, if u can. Some ppl (like me) don't even get to choose due to financial constraints and disadvantageous location. And always stay happy and positive. Life is full of surprises. Your goals might shift in a split second. Your dreams might take a different form as u learn more about the world. Keep an open mind and be creative! And lastly, spend some time with you friends :) I think u know what I mean :D

Great video. I'd like to say, I've heard others say that there can never be no energy. And that there is still kinetic energy at absolute zero but it is at a minimum. And that, if you was to say it has no energy then you would be assuming it's momentum which would go against quantum physics altogether. So what is your take on this?
@spag5296

When using the Work done = pV equation how do you know if the work is being done on or by the gas? (Thanks so much for the videos they are brilliant help!)
@carultch
@carultch Жыл бұрын
When the volume increases, the gas is doing work. When the volume decreases, work is being done on the gas Work is the area under the PV curve, when V is on the horizontal axis. Since neither P nor V can be negative, this means that the direction of work only depends on which point is your starting point, and which point is your ending point, when finding this area.

p,v and t all require diff conditions right? how can you equate all in 1 whole eq?
@carultch
@carultch Жыл бұрын
You aren't equating all in one equation. There is an R-constant to make all the units consistent. A given sample of gas has a particular temperature, pressure, volume, and number of molecules. The ideal gas law simply combines the proportionalities stated in all four base case laws, and promotes it from a proportionality to an equation by inserting the R-constant or Boltzmann's constant.

@carultch Жыл бұрын
@@SgtIndustrial R is what we call it when working in molar form. k is what we call it, when counting individual molecules or atoms. It is all ultimately the same constant. The k is called Boltzmann's constant, and the R is Boltzmann's constant times Avogadro's number to put moles in the denominator. Constant starts with a k in German, and makes the same sound as c most commonly makes, so it is common to see k standing for constant in general. The reason we call it R, is speculated to be from the name of the French chemist named Regnault.
