As an agnostic athiest watching this I actually find this rather convincing. I recently borrowed a Quran from my muslim friend and got a Bible from church so im planning on reading through both of these. I used to be rather skeptical of the existence of a God but recently I would say its come more to a 50/50 in my head.

We as human beings can know the existence of god through our intuition. In a study done by Harvard’s psychology department, they found that humans who were isolated had instinctive belief in god. An example of this is the aborigines, they believed in the one god. This is clear proof that humans instinctively have a feeling of god. But don’t mistake that feeling/knowledge of the existence of god by interpreting it as an experience of god like some believe such as Sikhs. May the almighty lord guide you ☺️

While others would call themselves other things except for muslims.... As in Quran ALLAH says, "Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do". (6:159)

Amazing! Allahu Akbar! I remember sitting in my physics and biology classes in school and becoming fascinated by what I was learning through science because I felt like I already knew most of it before. And I did because... Through learning the Qur'an I had already known so much and when I would hear the teachers talk about the different aspects of science it was so easy to put two and two together because I was already educated about those facts from the Qur'an. Allah ta'ala is truly the most magnificent. We can learn so much from the Qur'an, Subhan'Allah.

In many cases the working of objects can be determined by study. We can predict the orbits of the planets using a Newtonian model of gravity. Newton would be first person to tell you how it works - no atheist would say that Newton is the creator of the planets. Naik is presenting a stawman which he then (poorly) attacks. For example he cites Surah Anbiya ch 21 V 30 "Do those who disbelieve not see that the heavens and the earth were (once) one mass all closed up, then We rent them apart. And it is from water that We created all life. Will they not believe (in the face of all this).". This isn't congruent with the big bang which states that matter is condensed energy and not that it was one mass all closed up.

I have some question which needs to answered, Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Our Lord Almighty descends to the lowest heaven in the last third of every night, saying: Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him? Who is asking from Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?” Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1145, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 758 Question (1): The Earth is a globe, the time of tahajjud never ends on Earth, so doesn't the hadith refers to Allah staying at the lowest heaven all the time? Question (2): As per the analogy, Muhammad(sm) is indicating the earth as flat if he consideres his time and place as entirely, isnt it? Analogy: does the hadith referes, there are different dimensions? Rather than the current one?

This is most likely methaphorical. Allah loves the fajr prayer because you sacrifice your sleep for him. He surely listens to the one that stays awake to make duaa. I wouldn't attribute any time or space restrictions to Allah SWT as this would be underestimating his infinite power.

the quran is not a book is science its a book of signs. To people who think the quran was man made the quran has things that can be proven to people who dont even believe in the quraan in the first place. We show that the quran truly is the word of god by proving that these facts could only be known by a creator not man.

Sahal thank you for your reply. Although I’m not sure you understand my question/comment which was for Dr. Zakir Naik (PBUH). He claimed to have scientifically proven the existence of God... He did not. He couldn’t. Quoting an ancient text is not providing a scientific proof and his interpretations even less. Many have try to prove the existence of God and all of them failed miserably. He wasn’t the first to try and he certainly wouldn’t be the last. I’m glad he failed just like everyone else because if this becomes a matter of scientific knowledge and not of belief than it would drastically undermine the most beautiful aspect of any religion « Faith! » or Imaan as you would call it. Thank you.

It’s non-intuitive to understand that all this complexity is just natural and no intervention of any being is required, it’s much much simpler and easier for humans to believe that some being did it magically, especially when we are indoctrinated to believe from a very early age by our parents, teachers, leaders, elders practically everyone. And if we don’t conform to our parents religions then we can be shunned, disowned and possibly harmed. originally from Karachi Pakistan and Teer Haripur Hazaara, now ex-Muslim Atheist . When people talk about reconciling science and religion, that is only an issue with people who have preconceived ideas, but scientists cannot/should-not have preconceived ideas they must believe the evidence. No particle accelerator. He doesn't even need proof! Not sure why you are so skeptical about his medical credentials. I'd trust him with all my medical issues. I wonder if he takes my health insurance?
