The largest theory came out only a few years back and that it is indeed a type of cosmic calender, planning out certain points in the sky during certain times of the year. We do know it was made by a group of different cultures based on archaeology evidence from digging at farms nearby. Evidence showed animal bones and artifacts from a plethora of various cultures that lived no where near the site, and can be surmised that at certain parts of the year it was likely a gathering spot for many different peoples from various walks of life. While some may think it odd to see it as a religious or symbolic place, comparing it to modern day, it isn't that different from groups of people that come together to celebrate masses or services each week.

People in the past made a big deal out of things like the summer and winter solstice. One of the stones in the circle, along with another stone outside the circle were naturally occurring and lined up exactly with the sun setting (or rising, not sure) on the summer solstice. It stands to reason that this is why people built stone henge around it, to immortalize it. This kind of thing has been done multiple times throughout history so there's no reason that this would be any different.

The idea behind that “ancient” or “older” generations of humans could use magic is because they could connect with the earth and it was necessary to connect with at the time to live and survive. According to myths and legends, humans were far more adventurous and thrill seeking than people today. And as the centuries followed, humans slowly started to learn more about how to use matter instead of controlling it, so then adapted to that style of living instead. I’m a firm science believer but I really love mythology and it’s honestly fascinating how it could have been possible for us to airbend and stuff.

I believe this theory is correct. We have limited powers today but there are still some traces of it... An example is, I have randomly thought of people who I hadn't seen or heard from in 5, 10, 15 & in 1 case over 20 years & then within a small amount of time they just magically appeared. This has happened at least 20x in my life & they appear at the wildest locations too. This is no coincidence... I'm sure there were other lost powers as well.

There was a video of a man who figure out that all it took was wedging. It was so effective that it can move insane large tons of rock even buildings in weight. If you know physics then all it took was simple one or two man power to build the structure from just wedging like a Crowbar. Now you may wonder how you can lift the stone up right it was simple as slowly stacking wood underneath the stone while wedging until you got it up high enough. Then dig hole deep enough next to it and make a fall into it to stand up right.

I know how they did it. They made large, water tight crates and filled them with water. Then they built a second layer of air tight wood and placed it on top of the water. Then they placed the stones onto the top layer of wood and used the pressure of the trapped water to provide buoyancy to negate the weight of the stone. Then they used animals to pull the entire crates, which yes had many rotating logs underneath it, and hauled them to where ever they wanted. Once there they would position the crates to the proper placement. Release one side of the crates water causing the stone to drop on one side and slide off the crate. Also it was built as a tribute to the Atlanteans for the knowledge they shared.

One thing I’m never keen on is people saying “somehow we modern humans can’t do why the ancients did without current technology? Sounds implausible!” Yet the Romans, Greeks, Japanese, and many other cultures made and built things we can’t. There is a lot about the ancient world we don’t understand and we are quick to dismiss the idea that we might not be as advanced as we can Once were.

Looking at the photos of Stonehenge, I think that this is not a sundial or structure for astronomical observations. This is the remnant of a huge building from which only the most durable elements of the structure have survived. Imagine a huge wooden building with a roof that is gigantic for those prehistoric times, something like a stadium at that time, supported by appropriate, perhaps too massive but necessary, stone supports. Humanity has always been fascinated by gigantic structures like the Egyptian pyramids, which were to bear witness to greatness and strength. In summary, it is a remnant of a great structure whose wooden or other non-durable elements have decayed.

Evidence of the wheel dates to about 3500BCE so no, not before the invention of the wheel.
@RonBest
@RonBest 4 жыл бұрын
It's unlikely that was the first time in history that the wheel was invented. It's reasonable to belive the wheel was invented by the ancient civilisations well over 13,000 years ago aswell, then got lost with everything else (well almost everything else) in the cataclysm 12,800 years ago. Then it was reinvented 5500 years ago, when civilisation finally started to catch up again from the great loss of technology from the past.

There is a similar Stonehenge in Armenia. When scientists say they believe some of the British Stonehenge builders are from "modern day Turkey", what they really mean is "ancient Armenia". Could it be that both structures were built by the same civilization?
