Mate, this woman was justified in taking the course of action that she eventually took. This demon/ narcissistic sociopath took things to a level that was beyond human endurance for this woman. To say that she's a monster 👹 worse than him and to try and switch genders to justify the argument that she is just as bad, is too stupid to even put forth. Any person male or female who went through what this woman went through would very likely have done the same thing. And NO she did not threaten to harm the detective. He witnessed up close and personal the torment she went through and he understood on a basic humane level that this degenerate was not going to stop unless other measures were taken. Something to also note is that when they sit down for dinner, Adrian has provided Cece with food and beverages such as sushi, steak and wine. Cece is pregnant. Wine is already an obvious contender for what you should not consume while pregnant, it has an entire syndrome dedicated to why it's not a safe thing to do, and sushi and steak are generally deemed as unsafe meals to consume while pregnant due to both foods being some form of raw, give or take depending on steak, while sushi is raw fish. With all of this in mind, this paints a picture that Adrien either doesn't care about nor want the child, and is actively trying to kill Cece's baby while it's in the womb, or the more likely option, Adrian doesn't care enough to do any research as to what a pregnant woman can or cannot eat and drink while pregnant. Honestly just another great way of showing how much of a cardinal abuser Adrian is. While he is actively trying to manipulate her into coming back to him, he can't even be bothered to make her a meal that won't actively kill her baby.

God, that look in his eyes at 3:03 when she breaks down. I don't think we even have a word for that combination of triumph, hunger, control and lust. Him giving her that semi-confession immediately afterwards shows he was perfectly happy for her to know that he did everything (and probably didn't suspect that she was recording him, or he'd turn her talking about "honesty" back on her), he just wasn't willing to have her look him in the eye and negotiate. Once she's broken down crying like a scared child, he's very willing to play the generous lord and reward her pleading, and thus positively reinforce her submission.

Dark and disturbing roles interest some actors more than playing the good guy. It gives them a chance to show versatility and sometimes they even find it really fun to be the villain. The movie was not a success. I saw it on TV. Last year. The scene where he stalks her and that jump scares her was the only effective scare of the movie. I know the original is a very dated movie effects wise. But the og movie was based on the book. Hg Wells was involved in the screenplay. The scenes where he takes his revenge. Are very tense and Claude raines is beyond superb as the original invisible man. There is a redemption arc at the end. In this version. The tech inventor is horrible bully and an abuser and killer, a stalker. It was made for a progressive audience.

@@bigdomkook Also the, um... "surprise" of suddenly being attacked by something you can't see and therefore can't comprehend is a source of extreme confusion and dread, both of which slows your reaction down. Why it also worked on the villain is because he thought himself to be completely in control. That's my thinking, anyway. My suspension of disbelief was more tested by the speed of her implied wardrobe changes...

He didn't use his other hand to stop his arm. 6. He didn't just move. 7. He only has one dining room camera that conveniently hides her. 8. There was no security camera guarding the second suit.

There is a difference between super strength and enhanced strength. Cecelia got lucky because she snuck up on him plus wearing the suit would help her strength an advantage over him while he isn’t wearing one.
