So the movie of the month of March Winner is! SCOOBY-DOO The live Action Movie from 2002! Zoinks! Two years after a clash of egos forced Mystery Inc. to close its doors, Scooby-Doo and his clever crime-solving cohorts Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) and Velma (Linda Cardellini) are individually summoned to Spooky Island to investigate a series of paranormal incidents at the ultra-hip Spring Break hot spot. Watching this movie now it definitely shelves well and holds up nicely the story is awesome and hilarious and I think this converts to live action in a great way to show love and how Great Scooby do actually is!

Both these movies are special to me because not only did I grow up with Scooby Doo, but the guy who drew the monsters for both movies lived across the street from me.

This movie holds a special place in my heart, this one and its sequel, Monsters Unleashed. Every human member of Mystery Inc. was so perfectly cast.. my two favorites being Matthew Lillard as Shaggy and Linda Cardellini as Velma.

James Gunn wrote this movie, and it was orignally supposed to be a Rated PG-13 parody of Scooby-Doo. The studio forced them to make it family friendly, but you can still tell the tone they were going for was more adult and edgy.

No it wasn’t. It was originally pg-13. You’re referring to a cut that Gunn claims he made, not the original plan.

Both this and the sequel are very special to me, my grandma who has since passed took me to see this in theaters when I was 5, then the sequel when I was 7 and watching them with her are some of my favorite childhood memories.

The cast commentary for this DVD is so much fun. Scooby Doo got his start in 1969. I was four so I grew up with these guys. Love this movie. The irony: barring “Velma,” everyone knows that Velma is not only smart, but also the hot one.

As always enjoyed y'alls reaction and I do hope you guys watch scooby doo 2 monsters unleashed I was born in 1999 so these live action scooby doo's were my childhood n I would always watch the original late 70s cartoon scooby doo where are you it always came on boomerang or cartoon network but the 2nd one is really good same cast and they kinda upp tha maturity level as well lots of character development for all tha characters and each character kinda goes through their own battle and journey of self identity it's really good can't wait for you guys to watch P.s. if your wondering why or thinking tha actor who plays shaggy looks familiar it's bc he is it's Mathew Lillard he plays stu macher in scream Also fun fact Mathew Lillard even reprised his role of shaggy thru voice acting the character multiple times in alot of the animated scooby doo films and series

Fun Fact: This movie and the sequel was written by James Gunn and was originally Rated R, there a lot of deleted scenes that never made it to the film due to warner bros forcing the directors to cut it down to PG

The week this movie was released, I graduated from high school. Scooby-Doo was originally broadcast on CBS from 1969 to 1976 when it moved to ABC. ABC aired various versions of Scooby-Doo until canceling it in 1985 and presented a spin-off featuring the characters as children called A Pup Named Scooby-Doo from 1988 until 1991. Two Scooby-Doo reboots aired as part of Kids' WB on The WB and its successor, The CW, from 2002 until 2008. Further reboots were produced for Cartoon Network beginning in 2010 and continuing through 2018. Repeats of the various Scooby-Doo series are frequently broadcast on Cartoon Network's sister channel Boomerang in the United States and other countries. The most recent Scooby-Doo series, Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, premiered on June 27, 2019, as an original series on Boomerang's streaming service and later HBO Max.

Before Guardians Of the Galaxy, there was this. I wish the second Scooby Doo film had done better. There were plans for a third film. This was very well cast.
