Hey.,i have a Aprilia leonardo 125cc 1998. What other brands scooters have the same CVT so i can find correct springs for the torque and clutch? And maybe even the rear part itself as the grooved slots the clutch rides on are worn so the scooter is sometimes stuck in high speed and are slow to get acceleration again. Please advise. I don't have any power tools & ratchet gun etc. I only use good old box spanner with torque wrench. How tight should i torque pulley and clutch bell nut?

@scooterswapshop hey so I just bought a 2018 genuine roughhouse sport scooter and it came with the restrictor off and it tops at at around 45mph what would you recommend on upgrades for the transmission and exhaust ? Would like it to go faster but don’t wanna make it where I can barely go up hills, I live in Connecticut so there’s hills. Thanks in advance for the help

Wonder what kind of clutch springs he was using probably 2000rpm also I alway try to stay under 1500 on both them if I can for some reason I have a stock kymco agility125 that has a red spring in it previous owner told me he bought it new that way it takes off fine and the belt looks fine so I been running it that way but my pre bug with a 70cc polini sport kit I run a 1000rpm contor and clutch springs I like to get off the line quick if I need anymore I'll play around with the rollers to get more

Interesting, what do you reccomend for a 150cc? I got banjin driveface oko variator with 12g, ncy clutch and ncy 1500 contra spring. When i was completely stock i was able to do 60 with 17 rollers and when i slapped those parts i lost about 3mphs even though i went lighter on the rollers im not reving near as i was before.

I just got an Aprilia SXR 160, it barely does 100kmph, rpm doesn't go beyond 7k, scooter moves only around 4k before that it doesn't even try to move. Everything is stock. But the same engine specced Sr160 does 140kmph. Is there anything I can change to make it a bit faster?

Yo I’ve got a gy6 250cc bike (can see it on my channel) I’ve alr got derestricted CDI new coil and spark plugs and new nibbi carb was looking to CVT for next tuning and upgrades any ideas like race clutch or anything ? It’s new bike only 1200 miles haven’t changed the CVT belt or gear oil yet.

Im thinking of getting a yellow contra, malossi one for my peugeot. It has the akrsal t6 asso mext r pipe 21 carb and the belt is splipping and the clutch is slipping so im getting a malossi fly but was thinking about getting the yellow contra, do you think it would be good and not overkill?

Since this video is about an Sr. It's a Morini engine. These come with an very heavy stock spring an 9r rollers. I've got the problem with the Morini engine, it's perfectly setup 70cc, yasuniR , multivar, delta clutch etc but the top speed won't go above 70khm. Ever had this problem

Hello guys! Thank you for all the tips and great videos!!! I recently upgraded ...and want to hear your expertise on roller weights!? 2004 Derbi Atlantis Bullet et2 piaggio engine. Setup: S6MK2 sport 70cc, S6PWK21 carb, S6 intake system and reeds, Yasuni R, Malossi 2000 Variator, Green Polini springs, original crank, contra spring and belt. Still tuning...friend recommended the Athena racing long belt. I am currently with 5 gram rollers and the scooter ripps awsome! Didn’t push it too much for top speed since was around 40F and super windy...got 65 on GPS...My question is have you tuned that cylinder before, what’s the optimal rollers? I also have the white Malossi spring that came with Malossi Multivar 2000 variator. Thank you! Any coments are much appreciated !

my aerox 50cc runs a red malossi spring and never had issues with anthything like this. I drive with 5.5g rollers🤷‍♂🤷‍♂

So not knowing that I need a weight or a spring is a prob, color coding only allows for fakes (ie: spray that one green and send it?) come on and tell us what is what.. What weight? What springs?? I can put a 1500 spring in a clutch and a light roller in there (6 gram) but that is all phopaa... Same is same... One thing has everything to do with the other on gearing with cvt... I have a heavy weight scooter but the clutch is engaging too late so it shifts (3rd gear) up before the clutch engages (then back to 1'st gear) and I if I got ran over by the fool in a v8 car or truck that was in a rush, what would a contra spring mean to me? Cures for that? Ramping of the clutch with slinky springs? Weight of the sliders/rollers? A low (1000) contra spring painted blue? Let's start at the beginning... 49CC qmb. Too easy? Impossible with all the double talk out there... A battery? Battery be damned. PS: filled up after a 100 mile ride in less than 30 seconds at a cost (and consumption) of $3.30 Humm... Pull over for a hour+ to charge your battery? With electric you don't have a spare and have to stay? I'm a ole Harley fan (been across this country twice. ocean to ocean via bike) and the belt made power, on a 49cc CVT it uses it up via friction. No real rocket science there... So a 139 QMB 49cc long case with a 12 inch wheel needs what weight on the Variation? No need to warrantee it, it's real or it's not. Time to get real about it. I think 90+ MPG is WAYYYY better than a dead battery and a ensuing problem in the parking lot while I'm stuck waiting for a hour t0o get charged... But then what do I know? Wanna hang around while your transportation get's charged back up from electricity we don't even have to power homes (rolling blackouts)?? Me neither... A simple thing, roller weights versus sliders?
